The Doors are timeless, an iconic American psychedelic rock band. But maybe you had to be there in person to get the full effect. They have so many great songs that still stand the test of time. Great reaction on your part, so happy you could appreciate them. I think we will have to do more. Watched it all the way through, thanks Adogg!

The Doors were among the most controversial & influential rock acts of the 1960s, mostly due to Jim Morrison's lyrics & voice. They had a lot of hits including "The End", "Light My Fire", "Break On Through (To The Other Side)", "Love Me Two Times", "L.A. Woman", "Hello, I Love You", "Touch Me", "The Unknown Soldier", "Love Her Madly", "Riders On The Storm". Sadly Jim Morrison died in 1971 at the age of only 27 but left a great legacy of music.

I saw The Doors on this tour in Detroit in May 1970. They were amazing in the show. Played from 9:00 until 1:00 AM. Were supposed to stop at 12, but Morrison made a big deal out of continuing to play. It was in Cobo Hall and the place was packed. This is one of the songs that got the whole building rocking.

Took my Dad who was a big Doors fan & never saw them & it was less than a year before he died. Such an iconic band. This has always been my fave of their's, but you can't go wrong with any of them.

It's so good watching positive reactions from younger African Americans listening to Jim sing the blues. He was a big blues fan. People who watch Doors reacts may have seen me comment before that I became obsessed with Jim at thirteen. Now at 52 after a dna test and much research I find out that Jim is my cousin. I'd love to talk to his sister Anne whom I have never met, about her brother.

Great reaction, fun to see s.o. watch The Doors 52 years later and still dig it! Next to Zep they have been the most influential band of my younger days. I've listened to many other bands as well then, but these two are the ones I still love to come back to every now and then, their music stands the test of time, it's just a vibe! I'd be back for more Doors anytime...

Doors have some awesome music and Jim Morrison himself was an interesting figure. He's definitely one of the bad boys of rock. Fantastic lyricist and wrote poetry as well. It's worth doing a little digging into his story. He had a love/hate relationship with his fans and stardom, and combined with the drugs and alcohol his story unfortunately ended too soon. Enjoy this rabbit hole cause it's one of a kind!

Been into the Doors' music and Morrison's poetry since the 60s and I can guarantee that they'll take you down a very deep and twisted rabbit hole young brother. Combining Jim Morrison's poetry with the musical skills of Ray Manzarek, Robby Krieger, and John Densmore could induce a trance or trigger a riot. One of my favorite of their tunes is The Soft Parade. It's "different." LOL
