I know the plasterers don't like it. I always cut out the holes for the downlights before they plaster.

When we had our house built I ran all the 14 data, 17 phone and 9 co-ax TV cables and left them tucked out of the way so when the plaster was installed nothing was going to get caught except somehow the idiots managed to trap them between the plaster and studs. I had to unscrew the plasterboard to I could free up the several cables. Bloody pain in the ar$e.

Hi Delroy! Have a look on the DADE - dust and debris extractor. It does a very good/ clean job for when you need cutting holes. And it’s not even that expensive. Save your time in cleaning afterwards

Builders. Tunbridge Wells wired several 2 gang 13a sockets in a new extension with twin Bell wire. Could not believe my eyes. Was called out because the fuses kept blowing when the heater was on. Turned out, the sockets were fed from the lighting circuit. 6amp MCB kept tripping. Then to find bell wire and no earthing was the end game. I dissed the lot and advised the landlord will be contacted. £2000 a month rent deserves more than this.

Wagos lol still a foreign thing here in USA. I can never get any of my coworkers to use them over wire nuts .
