Hey, a Polish movie!! its called Seksmisja (Sexmission), it came out in 1984, its such a classic, every Pole knows this movie, its more of a comedy thought. There are timeless quotes that every Pole knows like "For a man, not to be able, with a naked woman, in an elevator". Its very important to know, that its only threated as a comedy, its not to hate on women. Polish women love this movie too.

@@krazykh Yes, I do. The literal Polish translation of "Nie Lubię Poniedziałku" is "I don't love Mondays" which is how I remembered it. Released as "I Hate Mondays". Excellent, funny film. Such an intricate comedy. ["Recommended. Would watch again" on Trip/Film Advisor! 😁]

I remember watching this great movie on Danish TV in The Eighties. My Mum told me it was a Polish sci fi movie, and I thought......well then it`s probably not that good...............I WAS WRONG......... This movie is a MASTERPIECE,..........it`s funny, entertaining, thought provoking, with great actors, and a great story.......❤

This was shown on TV in the UK on Channel 4 in the 1980's. It appeared during the "red Triangle" season. The triangle appeared to warn of any graphic or sexual content that may appear during the film. It was so good it became a must viewing as there was no graphic TV shows on UK TV at any point until then. So people watched it for the content. The UK at that time was very reserved in it's programming of shows and film.

This movie is a Polish classic. 99% of Polish people saw it and 98% Polish people liked it. In my personal opinion (I’m Polish), Polish people don’t make good movies, mostly due to low budget, but this movie is one of the best few. And not because it’s a great sci-fi, it barely has any special effects - it’s an old movie, but the comedy is just on point. Unfortunately, if You’re not a Polish person, most of the jokes will be lost in translation. Even the main character’s accent is funny to Polish speakers. But for non-Polish speakers, it might come across as boring, old movie. Sadly, because it is and always will be one of our finest.

I saw this movie as a young adult/child, and still found it funny. Even tough i didnt understand some jokes because of my age. What surprised me the most is to found this gem on a recap selection. Great movie! Greeting from Hungary!

One of the best Polish Movie in 80s .... absolute classic.... considering how limited resources Polish Cinematography had that time under Moscow Rules....still managed to produce many fantastic movies....Please also recap "King Size"....another classic from 80s!!!!

They kept an even spread of men and women in "Silo" but other aspects are VERY similar, yes. "Silo" is a TV adaptation of the "Wool" trilogy by Hugh Howey. I'm not gonna spoil them but there are a lot of "coincidences". The first book came out in 2012, 28 years after this movie.

Oh wow, if there is one Polish movie worth watching, it's probably this one. It's famous for sneaking in some anti-communist jabs (although it's debatable how high-strung censors were in 1984 PRL). The most well-known one being the line "(...) to the east, there must be civilization there" which allegedly evoked roaring laughter from the cinema audience.

Back in time, when they made good videos I remember this movie, thanks for reminding to it!!! Poland ans Czech made really good movies and series in the 70 and 80 ... where are their movies now? In the 70s here in Germany we had Czech productions like "Die Besucher" a time travel movie to safe the world, "Pan Tau" and so many other series... I need a time machine to go back in the 80! Damn aren't you all also sick of the movies and music they make today? Something has gone wrong in / since the 90s ...

ye and there is problem. You can't understand fully movie if you dont know what the character said. In that reality, all bad things came from men (war, disease, etc.). Even the bible was changed. (Cain killed sister, not his brother). This symbolized the censorship that existed in communist countries
