Whenever I watch interviews or listen to podcasts, you can listen to people, how they act, and in moments you can tell whether or not they're legitimately decent, crappy, or they're playing at it for appearances. She's legit good people. Best wishes to her family and her.

While its true that its possible to observe the way people behave & make some educated guesses about them, the majority of people aren't great at that, especially when they can't ask the person any questions. There are so many disciplines to be well versed in, including psychology, sociology, wisdom, experience, body language, microexpressions, good mental health & coping tools, & more. One way that someone without those disciplines can still be good at analyzing people is through their own trauma, meaning if someone grew up in abuse, they often become hypervigilant, meaning constantly aware & on edge for danger & threats, & they can become very good at reading other people's behavior as a coping skill to avoid the abuse. There can be less useful results from abuse though as well, some people can learn to avoid the abuse by becoming abusive, reclusive, etc, & that can impact their ability to analyze others, making them see things in a constant negative, suspicious light. But like the other comment says, when looking at professional actors, there is the fact that they are adept at playing a part, which can include their public persona which can be different from their private behavior.

@@jiubboatman9352 Yeah I know. Not really possible to fake it for a camera. There's a big difference between suspension of disbelief and being unaware. On a more serious note, if you watch people pretending on TV/film and think they talk like normal people.. :| Christ on a crack binge behind a Walmart that's not a good sign. But people are so used to watching/listen/read scripted dialogue in entertainment and they think that it's NORMAL. While they're all great, people absolutely use them way too much. Myself included.

@@nicholasschoonbeck6866 (Apologies for length. I'm just thorough with my thoughts is all.) I agree with a lot of that. I personally went through a lot so I did learn to pay attention to people growing up and be on the look out. With that, I learned quite a lot of people don't have a healthy sense of disbelief in regards to media and entertainment. They either fall short and can't let things go, or fly far past it being unable to separate media/story/actor/fantasy from real people and reality to the point they suspect and attribute everything others do to being a character. We watch so much entertainment media that the pretend behavior is more recognized as the default, and anything that contradicts our default (depending on what media you consume most) must be an act with nefarious intent attached.

Having grown up with an absent father, I can tell you, if you're lucky enough to have had the love of a dad who stood in for your father, you're doubly blessed. Though I lacked even this, I became this for the children I've raised, none of whom I'm genetically related to, and stand in dad to one of my children's school friends, who also labeled me dad.

So glad that we might....might...be approaching a time when societal pressures and the cult of failure that stalks young males of color might be improving. Because sometimes, many times, there are reasons that people leave. What if we could be a nation that supports families of all colors with a fair tax code that doesn't prioritize billionaires over the obscene numbers of women and children who are living in poverty. 🗽

thats the thing. nobody cares about the family to keep it together. if the dad said that he wanted the family to stick together but somehow didn’t thats the mom fault. and vice versa. its a good chance that the women did not love him that deeply to begin with.

Hi! I'm also donor-conceived, and it's so lovely to hear stories like ours. My parents told me when I was very young, and it was just a cool story, the sort of anecdote I could bring out at parties. It didn't impact our relationship at all - my dad is still my dad, even though (with the help of genetic companies and my 30+ known siblings!) I'm now in contact with my donor. I firmly believe family is who you choose it to be, and her joy and honesty and openness in sharing her donor-conceived story is so, so valuable for other DC folks. Thank you! 💖

Kerry was born in 1977, she is 46 years old. She is right that using a sperm donor to conceive was like the "wild west". Donor information was inexact, no DNA available so there were risks of genetic disorders, or inherited diseases. As anyone can clearly see, Kerry was fortunate to receive superior genes, but more importantly to be raised by loving and committed Father and Mother. Mom didn't lie, she loved.
