The psychology is actually quite easy to understand: for gold medalist, he obviously is happy cuz he won all games, bronze medalist is receiving the medal by winning a game (bronze medal match) so he's happy, while silver medalist is receiving the medal because he lost a game (gold medal match) so obviously you can't expect someone who had just lost a game look happier than someone who just won a game, right?

Yea basically the more closer you are to winning when you lost the more sadder you will be thinking you could have done more and push yourself abit to get that number #1 spot, while being last makes you think you didn't stand a chance against the others and you wouldn't bother anyway because you aren't close to winning you would most likely be thankful you atleast get a #3 spot or a bronze medal.

One strong thought is within me regarding the Olympics, it's being part of the team representing your country means you have the ability to do so with the trust of the people around you. Winning and losing is part of the game, being able to accept the results and pushing yourself to be better person than you were yesterday is CHAMPION.

@yourstruly30332 жыл бұрын
What nas daily conflict?
@KuyaBJLaurente2 жыл бұрын
@@yourstruly3033 Nas Daily had an issue regarding his academy. There's a course called Whang Od Academy, where Nas claimed that Whang Od, a traditional tattooist in the Philippines, agreed with him to make a traditional tattooing course. Apparently, since Whang Od can neither read nor write, she "signed" the contract by placing a thumb print on the contract. But Whang Od's grand niece complained about it because Nas didn't ask for the permission of Whang Od's community because the tattooing thing Whang Od has been doing is a cultural heritage and by Philippine Law, it is owned by the community, not by Whang Od herself. So Nas broke this law. In an unrelated note, there is another woman who ranted about Nas complaining about her cocoa farm (which later backfired on her because her farm was called fraud by a son of a cocoa farmer), and this is where Agon is dragged. Agon spoke up about how only her farm is thriving but the neighboring ones are not. Because of this side issue and Agon being Nas's friend, Filipinos dragged Agon like how they were dragging Nas, tagging both as "Pinoy baiters". To be fair though, it should have only been Nas, but Agon was dragged due to association.

I would like to clarify 90% of the silver winners miss out on golds at very very end like 5-10 seconds and some even lose the gold at 1/100th fraction of a second. Being the second winner will only experience what it feels just to not be the best because of the last 5 seconds or even sometimes because of the Olympics Federation

I just looked into track and field athletes, and in many cases, other than the gold winning athlete, both bronze and silver look sad, and sometimes silver is happier, sometimes bronze and a very few times all are happy. I agree that we should enjoy the moment and feel that no matter what place we come, the amount of effort and energy one has put into, if that's satisfied, like if one is satisfied with the efforts one has put while practice and in game, the results shouldn't matter much.

Great video! I'd like to tell one more statistic that was missed here In most of the sports in the Olympic Games, the top 2 have a "final" match for the gold. Meanwhile there is a separate bronze medal match to decide the 3rd position. So the fact they can't win a silver or gold and their best shot is bronze has already been sunk into their minds, so they are genuinely happy getting it.

I mean like psychologically, an example if in someone's mindset there were 3 choices... If I was 1st choice, I would be happy because that would mean I was the 'Best' If I was 2nd choice , I would feel sad knowing I wasn't as good as 1st place If I was in 3rd place, I would still feel happy because I was chosen anyways Thank you tho for teaching me an important message today, Agon.☺ p.s : I actually did once get 2nd place for academics.

This is not just about people it's also about countries competing for rank for example the USA ranks 13 out of 190 countries in infrastructure and they still say their roads are bad. I think 13 out of 190 countries is a great score. Most people in the developed nations like the USA complain they only came in top 20 and not top 5. So I am telling to the citizens in the developed countries like his video be grateful for what you have.

It's like Gold medallist: 100 in a maths test Silver medallist: 99 in a math test Bronze medallist: 90 in a maths test Bronze is happy cause they got an A Gold is happy cause they got full marks Silver 'should' be happy but they are sad cause they could've gotten better and they know that there is someone better than them

@@katsuchicken2220 in my x grade, I managed to score 89. But somehow it feels like a 90 should have been better. Like even though the difference is only 1 percent I feel like it is more than 10

Absolutely agree with you. Don't feel sad if you are 2nd or 3rd or heck even lower. As long as you gave your best and all you are a winner.

Even in a tournament in our area we were second and our whole team was in tears because we were so close yet to far, we were not proud of ourselves but the only thought was if just this we would have been at the top
