I feel sorry for the guy as well as proud of him. Imagine the feeling of knowing they were there all that time, he knew nothing so he couldn't help them all that time! But I'm glad he was there & got them out! I'm proud of him for all the reasons you mentioned he's a hero!

The other day I seen a video of a limousine on fire where several people burned to death, people kept driving people more interested in recording it than seeing if anyone needed help... and it made me sick to my stomach. Every time I lose my faith in humanity a Charles Ramsey comes along.... faith restored.

Blazing Ace, you're absolutely right.I would be willing to bet most people wouldn't get envoled.I once picked a 2 year old off of the side of a busy highway and carried him home 3/4 of a mile away and no other cars ahead of me even tapped their brakes to stop.I know personally how much people want to stay in their own little world regardless of what's going on around them.

I'm a clevelander. I can say this much. That guy makes me proud. I remember the miranda Knight story on the news, and Dejesus' parents as well. They plastered her face EVERYWHERE. Its WONDERFUL for our city to finally be solving these crimes. It took too long with Sowell and it took too long here too. Glad the girls and Charles Ramsey are getting the attention they deserve.

This review contextualizes everything better than some of the other interviews. The amazing thing to me is that conspiracy theories almost always creep in the big news stories. Some people just cant believe things are as they are.

That is true and I definitely agree with you. The problem is that there isn't very many decent human beings like him left, which is very irritating. The average person now may have heard the screams, but did nothing because it's not their problem, so they just don't care. It's sad really. Long story short, if Charles Ramsey were a military man, I'd call in a few favors to see if we could get him a medal or two. It's individuals like him that give me hope that there is decency left.

I saved two girls once in a highway car accident. The car was sideways and they couldn't get out. There were people there before me and they did nothing just staring, the girls were screaming for help to, maybe the gas leaking with the smoke scared them anyways I opened the door and got them both out with out a second of hesitation. My point is I'm not a hero but a human being. I think it is every humans duty to help each other out and we shouldn't be glorified so much. The human being is great!

A few years ago my friends and I were walking through a restaurant parking to our car when we heard a woman yelling and obviously in distress, and we had NO idea WHAT was actually happening (it couldve been a couple arguing, or stranger trying to take some woman, or something completely different.) But we walked over there right away. And we yelled at him to let her go..... and so he did, she got out, thanked us, and walked away....It is better to be wrong than to let shit like that happen.

True heroes get involved. Period. No person is without fault and shouldn't let their faults prevent them from helping others. What Charles did for those women will wash away any poor choice he made in his past and nobody but God can judge him. All we need to do is give thanks and be grateful that he chose to help when MOST others would not. Period!!! God bless Charles Ramsey!!!!!!!

This man is a Hero. Why because he did what no one else would do. Call him what you want now, but ask yourself, would you have done what he was willing to do to save these girls? Besides, why stain a man with incidents that happened before this took place? Not all of us are good people but we can still act like it when needed.

Considering Ramsey has been arrested thrice for domestic violence, it is even more wonderful that he chose to intervene on what he at one point thought was a domestic dispute (per one interview I saw). I'm sure that Ms Berry would be the first to tell you that Ramsey's checkered past doesn't negate the help he provided.

This guy is a hero even though he went to jail three times for domestic violence. He paid his debt. He won't even take reward money for finding them, he said give the money to them. That's why I'm gonna send this guy $50 because he is a hero plain and simple. I'm gonna encourage everyone I know to send him $5 or more because he deserves it!

Actually, no, from what I've read, Angel Cordero first heard the woman screaming and went to investigate it but couldn't communicate with her, since he speaks no English. Then Charles Ramsey came over and the woman told him who she was and that she and her baby were being held in the house against her will. Cordero and Ramsey together kicked a hole in the door large enough for her to crawl through and she escaped with her daughter. Per the wikipedia article "2013 Cleveland, Ohio, missing trio".

Definition of hero - "A person, typically a man, who is admired for courage or noble qualities." This man DEFINITELY showed courage and noble qualities. He's not a "bum" either, seeing as he lives in a fairly nice neighborhood and earns a paycheck...
