Silva likely wants to still play semi-regularly. Either he doesn't see that happening by the competition we have or he thinks it's better for Chelsea to focus on the young defenders we have. The fact that his kids play for us and that they and his wife would stay in London regardless speaks volumes. If he then decided to go with a London club over spending a year away from his family is completely understandable. Fulham, West Ham, Crystal Palace, something like that. That's fine by me. I can't imagine him going to Arsenal or Spurs; he's too smart for that.
