I used the planer all the time for a company to make outdoor furniture for Japan and Germany and I’ve never encountered that before. I’ve heard story’s of wood firing back but I’ve never experienced that and I always stand off to the side just incase. Glad you’re ok 👍.

Sorry man; that’s exactly what happened to me today-DO NOT plane anything less than 1/8 inch thick; especially walnut.
