I'm a server at a nice restaurant and the last thing you want to do is make your guest feel rushed to gtfo so you can get that tip and flip the table. Its inconsiderate to assume everyone is in a hurry. A good server pays attention to cues and can usually tell if the guest is in a rush or not. Also helps to just have your card ready so they can just grab it as soon as they drop it. But also the guest should be considerate to the server who has other tables than you and might need a minute.
