Ultra easy fix this happens to any brand if the tailgate gets forced closed on something.

I don't have those issues on mine, but experience shattered rear window, fuel pump recall, all warnings on now and need to get to dealership. It's still on list of more reliable than Korean, European and other American brands.

What made you opt for the FWD model over the SH-AWD, given the steering issue mentioned ? Did you not test drive the two prior ? I’m guessing that you didn’t give the car a once over/check for any design flaws before buying !

Out of honesty it was the only available combination in the State of Georgia at the time with the White exterior and red interior. I reviewed an RDX with AWD a few months prior. In hindsight, I’m glad that I went with the FWD because it’s a much more dramatic driving experience. And I did, but these things are minuscule. I still enjoy it. I’ll get service to check on the braking issue.

The one thing that you really lacking let me tell you I will drive is where it’s at when it comes to twisty roads the all wheel drive is very active and you can feel it when the ass of the car rotates around like a rear wheel drive car. As far as your interior complaints about keeping it clean use some 303 interior cleaner, it resist dust.

My wife's Honda Pilot had the same issue with the hatch having large gap on one side when we took delivery new in 2018. We complained to the dealer and they had their autobody shop adjust it to sit even on both sides. They said it was common and when I walked around their lot every single one was off center. Was bizarre though because when we were at a different dealership theirs were all perfectly even so it was either a poorly finished batch or the other dealership was proactively fixing them.

Probably because they were the first couple of vehicles out of the production line after some kind of adjustments to their machines or materials

And if you live the car in hot son your infotainment screen gets burn, had to replace mine, lucky was under warranty. But I love the car and performance is great.

You sprung for A Spec but not SH-AWD is what you don’t like about your RDX. The RDX has a strong engine for the small platform that it’s running. So it’s going to feel “jerky” especially without AWD.

Transmision can be túned at the dealer for free, they did mine.

Good to know! Got a '23 last week and I noticed the jerky transmission. Going to inquire on my next scheduled maintenance visit. Otherwise, nice car. Thanks!

I have a different steering wheel. No issues with mines. It looks even on both side of the back. The inside doesnt get dusty like yours and ive had mines for a month already 😂. I wonder where you live at?

Only thing I agree with is the jerky transmission at low speeds. Minor issue all things considered. 2023 owner here.

Good video, what did Acura told you about the gap on the back door. I’m thinking of buying one but here in PR are sow expensive I’m interested in the aspec Sh-awd which goes for $74,000.00 and that is without bank interest and insurance sow when you add those things you’re looking about $80k maybe a bit more for that model here in Puerto Rico.

@@51balino Exacto no cuesta 80k en Estados Unidos pero en PR cuesta casi eso sumando los seguros y intereses del banco y estos número son del concesionario Acura que fui en Puerto Rico.

I bet you the tailgate can be fixed by Acura. And all wheel drive systems on crossovers is very pointless. It’s added weight, extra maintenance, and lower fuel economy. No matter what band you get, AWD systems cost cost more, they don’t do very much for performance. Acura added one to keep up with stupid auto makers like Audi.

my transmission is jerky too.. going from P to Drive, the car will bounce sometimes.

This is probably due to when you place your car in park and let go of the gas, your car starts to either roll forward or back and when you change it to drive, the gears will move move and pop out of park to drive. This will eventually mess up your transmission. Which is why it’s important to utilize the parking brake after you place your vehicle in park

my mom has a 2020 RDX base awd. it doesn’t have the steering, transmission, or lift gate issues, but it has a rattle somewhere near the steering wheel and on the front right dash/roof area. the transmission performance is actually amazing and very responsive. i would Check if Acura can fix the lift gate under warranty.

@@IAmTheKiaKing kias are garbage lol. acura is like lexus. i mean they’re nice at first but they don’t hold any value and very cheaply made. also they catch on fire all the time and have tons of recalls. personally i will always stay far away from kias.

We have a 2020 RDX Tech Starting at 8,000 miles the transmission has a hi pitched whine starting at 62 mph thru about 78 mph Acura service Rep says normal which is BS This is our 4th new RDX and our 6th new Acura…likely our last

The underpaying is just a Honda. You kinda just get what you’ve asked for. I’d be grateful that at least they have better sound insulation when compared to other Honda models.

I just can’t believe, in 2023 people are into that old bubble/round design. It reminds of early 2000 lexus RX models. And that hideous, tacky interior dash with 50 buttons. It’s just really odd to me.
