Racism and sexism is a problem if it hinders your advancement. Other than that we can't change people's view or convince them to like us. Like I work for DCS and my superior she grades me off of superficial things like my bubbly personality and chic fashion. I work too hard to be judged by factors that don't relate to my work ethic. The irony is the people that my superior favor hate their job and slack off big times

I remember this was common in a school, trying to fill up the uniform. I did the same for a day or 2 lol, but then quickly was told usually okay to put on after you finish your first deployment, so I waited

Yes you can retire after 20 years but you would only get 40% of your base pay. So if you leave the military as an E5 after 20 years your pay as an E5 is $2600 a month. So you will only collect ~$1040 a month who can live off that?

An E-5 @ 20 years is 3704.40.... You get paid more the longer you're in. Also E-5 is a very low rank for someone who has been in for 20 years. That basically means you didn't make an effort for promotions or becoming an officer. Equivalent to a McDonalds employee who decided to stay crew, became a crew trainer, and never entered management. After 20 years with a clean record you'de have made Warrant Officer or became a Commissioned Officer by getting a degree or did the Green to Gold program.\ Here is the 2022 Military Pay Chart: www.dfas.mil/Portals/98/Documents/militarymembers/militarymembers/pay-tables/2022%20Military%20Pay%20Tables.pdf

@@miracledickson4882 College credits, JROTC, Naval Sea Cadets, Eagle Scout. You can also rank up in boot camp by doing certain jobs.

I am sorry but you will still have to work again after retirement cause that monthly pension for E7 only is about 2150. And that really not enough unless your okay with just surviving barley....now... if you got that 100% va disability with that then. You good 👍

Dumb question, but by paying overtime, do you mean after 40 hrs/week, the Navy won't pay you anymore, or does it mean that the Navy doesn't pay the 150% overtime rate, but instead the regular rate? Or is it that the Navy pay people on salary?

Medicare is not something based off your income. Medicare is what people over 65 get. Anyone 65 and over has Medicare. If you meant medicaide, that's income based for people who have kids and qualify based on being low or no income.

Your patches are on the wrong shoulder and the flag is upside down and reversed. There is no way those nails are regulation. Doesn't mean they don't look good, just not regulation.
