Continuing the personal story of conversion from Mike's booklet. How could an educated pastor have missed seeing these important things in his Bible? What should a person do when they realize there's a "gorilla" in the room?

Amazing! So happy for you! One of my good buddies is Catholic and it’s heart wrenching some of the stuff he’s been suckered into believing. He’s such a good guy and I know he loves Jesus, but his idea of salvation is messed up beyond belief

I walked away from the Catholic Church and never have a thought of coming back for any reason. I got goose bumps when I see the rosary! I have a nightmare when I see a status of Mary....I am so grateful for salvation and be able to learn how to rightly dividing the truth from pastor Steven and Justin Johnson. Yes my friend, ....mark them for example. I thanks God for these men!

Pastor Steve, I really had to sit and meditate on those 2 verses, Acts 3 and Romans 16, to really see the difference between them. One says, "Jesus has been spoken about since the world began" and the other says "The Mystery that was hidden since the world began". So the Mystery can not be the revealing of Jesus Christ when He came to earth in bodily form as I had thought, the Mystery is something else, something new and unique to Paul! It's Amazing Grace!

My first encounter with Paul's Gospel was with Les Feldick, then David O'Steen, Grace Ambassadors and 1 or 2 others all on KZfaq that I listen to.

Great sermon pastor. We must stand for the truth. Before I left the Pentecostal denomination, I knew something was off but I couldn’t put my finger on it. The interesting thing was I didn’t go to church every Sunday bc I knew something was off. Not until this COVID-19 I found the grace gospel with right division and when I found the truth for me but I know my case is probably different than most it was easy to leave the church bc I really didn’t establish any relationships or anything at the church. If more ppl would just stand for the true grace gospel more people would hear and know about the mystery and right division.

This is my exact experience! I never really got fully involved in any ministry at my church because I just didn’t feel completely comfortable with the environment/services, and then after it closed for a few weeks I started researching evangelism and stumbled upon Living Waters ministry and it was then that realized I had never heard the gospel at my church. I then had the thought that I was never really saved before then, and I was only hearing “inspirational” messages every week. The “sermons” were feeding my pride and worldliness and it was never about Christ and Him crucified. It was more prosperity preaching, even though their website said that they held the word of God as the highest authority.. I learned to exegete the Bible from pastors like Matt Chandler, Mike Winger, and others. I saw a lot of hole in what I was being taught and after much prayer I had to leave that church.

I got called out in this class. I was the one sitting in the pew calling out the preacher to my wife who was getting really irritated with me. It finally sunk in. We havent attended that church since they locked the doors due to COVID.

Same exact story here. I can't stand to listen to my pastor's wrong interpretations of scripture, so I whisper to my wife and she gets annoyed. I'm not sure what I'm going to do at this point because she likes the church.

Sometimes there are hundreds of Grace Believers that attend a conference or Church in other towns because they DO NOT go to a denominational church. They want to fellowship with like believers even if it means traveling hundreds of miles to do so. After learning right division, I was asked to leave my church. I also could not attend another church to sit there and listen to wrong doctrine. Thankful for the internet.

Could it be that the reason alot of Christians emphasize the importance of going to church is because, in their heart, their salvation is incomplete?
@tedeskidrums2 ай бұрын
Either that or they simply do not believe that when they got saved that they were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise. Although, I'd venture to say, as Steve mentioned in this video, that probably the majority of them are NOT saved because they have never been taught the actual Gospel that saves.

Try leaving Mormonism. All friends, all neighbors and family are in white shirts, ties and white robed temple rituals. Majority of coworkers know your status and callings in Joseph Smiths church. Promotions, raises etc. just don't seem to happen. The kids aren't to basketball, young woman's, and even trunk er treat on Halloween. You don't attend the 3 hours every Sunday, evenings, home teachers (now gone), NO Coffee etc... THE whispers...neighbors ask why you left. The missionaries come to your door on a regular basis to bring you back....BUT then you can witness to THEM. Be prepared. Explain you have sent your rejection letter and the 100 or so reason to the church headquarters SO you don't get (excommunicated=major apostate) cut off. THANK YOU for rightly dividing and giving messages of hope and support! Trust the word of truth (NOT the book of mormon) , the cross (Mormons hate the cross.), death (J.S must approve you into heaven.) burial (really no death just 3 glory levels in the after life...if you don't make godhood) and resurrections via the narrow path. Mormonism is a wide man's path. Just confess to your bishop you sins, pay your 10% to get to the temple...you to can buy your way to godhood. With J.S. permissions..... Jesus is the one and only narrow path to eternal life!! AMEN!!

Pastor Steve, you just described my wife and me. There are no dispensational Pauline churches near us. Been associated with my pastor for over 20 years now, at 2 different churches. My wife and I may be the only dispensational members in the church. I believe that people who remain in non-dispensational churches are not cowards, but must choose the best of many less than optimal alternatives.

I was very interested in your talk about when Jesus was crucified. As I listened to your other messages looking forward to them, you spend more time talking about all the bad things about other churches. I like to be challenged, and like that you said we don't always get immediate answers. Do we put it on a shelf to come back to it, or do we throw it all out? Challenge us, by all means!! Stick to what you do best. Challenge and teach.

I have an "I'm not sure" and an "I don't know" shelf in my mind where many things are filed. As far as the thing you didn't like - I'm instructed that the only time the words "good minister" appear in my Bible are related to having the minister warn people against the bad things in other churches. (1 Tim 4:1-7) I don't always enjoy it - but I do it b/c I'm instructed to do so.
