This place blew my socks off! This was my first trip to China and it was epic. It definitely made one of my top most beautiful destinations list. If it's not the culture, food and people, then it's certainly the landscape and yaks! Below is a travel guide list of the locations: + ▶Xining (Xining City, Tibetan Cuture Museum, Donguan Mosque, Donguan Market, Kumbum Monastery), + ▶Rainbow Park (Huzhu County); + ▶Ledu (Qutan Temple); + ▶Xining to Tongren landscape, + ▶Tongren (Wutun Temple - Lower & Upper), + ▶Tibetan Plateau (Qinghai Lake, Qinghai Sand Dunes); + ▶Qilian (Qilian City, Zall Mountains, unknown destination)

Qinghai, ancient Tibetan region of Amdo until stolen by Chinese Government in 1951. So, sad i would love to visit since my dad was from this region but had to flee as a 2-year-old baby alone with his 4-year-old sister and a monk to northern India and never knew his parents!!! I definitely have to visit one day. thank you for giving us a glimpse into this region. it seems now more peaceful and safer.

Looks like a great time! I loved all of the mountains, rivers, and canyons. I know the feeling of making friends and then having to leave. I have been here in Phuket for almost six weeks now and am getting ready to leave, and it is going to be sad. Many of the people I have met here were taking the TEFL course I was supposed to take (long story), and we all bonded together doing so many things in a course of four and five weeks. But now I have life long friends I hope to meet up with some other time, and some other place. Great video, Christine, I will have to put this on my list to hopefully get to in the future!

Actually, I will come back again in the future. I can come back since I was nice enough to give up my spot to someone that was needing to take the class more than I needed it. It worked out great, I just chilled for about six weeks here in Phuket...by the time I leave next Monday for BKK. The agreement I made with the school is that they will let me come back anytime I want, even if it is one or two years, and I will still get the discounted price. So yes, everything is going awesome! BKK and Ayutthaya up next for about 2 1/2 weeks, then 10 days in Cambodia, three weeks in Saigon, and lastly two weeks in the Philippines! Thank you for asking!!! Again, great video, Christine!

Qinghai (Amdo in Tibetan) is the cultural center of Tibetan. The founder of Geluk school was born here some 6 centuries ago. Some Tibetan writers and poet are from this region. The current Dalai Lama was also born here and was taken to Lhasa when he was 4 years old. All the temple and monasteries are Tibetan why they have Chinese name as they are pretty famous through the Tibet.
