Would love to know more about food in Korea and how you guys are finding teaching with EPIK? How long do you all plan to stay in Korea for? :)

Did you guys travel around South Korea often? Also did you make Korean friends or just stuck to other foreign teachers?

We tried too!!! We usually have a few big road trips during the vacation period where we hire a car and just drive around Korea, and then during the weekends we do day trips in our province sort of thing. We stick to ourselves a lot but we do have other foreign friends as well as Korean friends though they do speak English ☺️

With the old folks, I usually wave or a slight bow when saying hello. With kids I just usually show my smile through the tone of my voice and a pukana when ur like thinking WTF lol I totally understand the 'No' thing as I say I'm okay as well. I hate seeing or dealing with parents... these days they are so full of themselves or over protect their kids (mummys boy) and the kid is a lil shit.

@Odessa G lol lucky u. Yea I used to work in a public school. Loved it but because the Govt cracked down and want Korean teachers to teach English in the public sector I moved to a private Hagwon. Best thing about it are the hours and pay. 2-7pm for nearly 3mill. No reports, not dealing with parents. Actually. I thiink I mentioned our academy is looking for a native English teacher. PT though 2-5pm !! And driving... FARK!! now that's where the term Asian driver comes from!! U really have to defense drive here. I think the fastest I drove on the motorway from Seoul to Incheon coming home from a drinking sesh was 160 kph. And like u said I had cars passing me. I nearly flipped the car too coz I had to break suddenly. When I was driving to Mokpo from Incheon to catch the ferry to Jeju I had cars tailgating and riving dangerously. I ended up slowing them down, pulling over, getting out and approaching their car. They didn't get out and took off in a hurry hitting my arm. And then had the cheek to call the cops!

Can't follow Jared because it says user not found 😔. Can't wait to see what else you guys do! What's the current situation like with covid in Wonju? I'm hoping things only get better in Korea by the fall if I'm accepted into EPIK.
