Things We Said Today - A Beatles radio show

In Episode 412 of Things We Said Today, Ken Michaels, Allan Kozinn and Darren Devivo have a chat with Sir Michael Lindsay-Hogg about “Let It Be” - the original film as well as the newly remastered version. Since we did a show just last week, the News segment is fairly short; the interview be-gins at 9’05”.

In our description box, Allan provides the time when the main topic starts if you don't want to sit through the news. When you're doing a show bi-weekly news does accumulate, and much of what I report is hard to find elsewhere. Our show has been on for 12 years, and was originally a news-oriented show. It continues to be an important feature of our show.

When the Beatles had their weekly B.B.C. Radio Show in early 1963. In each 1/2 hour episode they would have a special guest. For one episode Frank Ifield was that weeks guest. Great interview. Cheers, Chris Perry.

Hey Ken, Allan, Darren... A particular great show. So, from what Michael Lindsay-Hogg said, it sounds like there's tons of footage from the Hey Jude filming session. I'm wondering then, does all of it still exist and if it's worthy of release? I believe he said they filmed five takes of Hey Jude and that they performed some oldies. This has potential of being a awesome release, audio and video. Take care

As I understood it, though, the oldies were performed while they were preparing the next video reel, which means they wouldn't have been recorded. But in the "but we can dream" department -- a release of the full session (there are already three Hey Judes and two Revolutions circulating) would be great, and if there were even audio recordings of the oldies, that would be a spectacular release.

41:31 I thought there was an original cut that was rejected by three of the Beatles because there was too much focus on John and Yoko.

41:00 THREE of them had dinner together with MLH because John had left the group two months earlier. Hence it was still only the three of them who work on finishing I Me Mine the following January.
