Jalen Hurts, Baker Mayfield, Caleb Williams...hes a QB guru and he already has the #1 QB commit in the nation coming to USC JuJu... so we aint tripping on offense. Riley hasn’t proven he can do it against teams with an equal level of talent. Big fish in a small pond in the Big 12. When he went out to LA, it’s been disappointment after disappointment when he squares up against teams of equal talent. Utah, UO, UW. Great recruiter and offensive mind but doesn’t have the ability to win something meaningful without drastic changes.

As an OU fan - it was common knowledge among everyone in Norman that Lincoln Riley didn't want to go the SEC and compete with tougher programs and liked having it easy in the Big 12. It's not really a theory, he made it quite clear to the leadership at the University that he was leaving so he didn't have to compete in the SEC.

OU fan finds it adorable when USC fan claims their program to be the better of the two. Lincoln, Riley didn't go to USC because it was a better program. He was handed the keys to a winning program and he just couldn't take it to the next level. His star was fading and he needed to cash in before it was too late (failure in the SEC), and a desperate USC was willing to back up a Brinks truck.

First off all, a State with little to no other professional team will always be a better college town because thats all they have. I wish they talked more about what Riley inherited when he first got to SC. We haven’t been contenders in a long time so he had to revamp the roster. While doing this we enter NIL era and all its shenanigans. Any coach who would had took the SC job wouldn’t see no true success until year 3 or 4 just because of the turnaround that was needed. Just gotta have patience and I think this year we see a turnaround. Maybe make the playoffs but the foundation of what SC fans expect will start this season

Not really, they went out strong and I wish they were still around, but historically the PAC has only on rare occasions fielded teams with the same athleticism as what is standard in the SEC

The Pac-12 was almost always awful. It was overrated because ESPN used its arbitrary rankings to put a bunch of west coast teams in the top 25 when Vegas told you all you needed to know about the Pac. Washington was a 10 point underdog to Oregon in the Pac-12 Championship Game and a 1.5 point underdog to Oregon State in Corvallis. Does that seem like the "#2 team in America" to you? The Michigan result was obvious. Harbaugh could have named the score. The only legitimate teams to come out of the Pac-12 in the past 30 years were Pete Carroll's best SC teams.

Now Oregon and Washington come in and they will add some strength but USC and UCLA are just more of the same for the BIG 10. I expect Ohio State, Oregon and Michigan to be fighting for the playoffs every year. Oregon does need to show up. They get to the big game and they falter. Mad Dog is keeping it 💯 TROJANS are back baby✌🏽 The hate and negativity coming off these haters proves it. Coach Link went 11-3 in his first year, and if Caleb didn't get hurt, they would have made the playoffs, in spite of the subpar defense. Now yes SC had a great offense last year but their defense was atrocious, even so they went 8-5 which is a winning record I might add. With a very good bowl game beat down win against a fully loaded Louisville defense that had all their defensive starters playing. Also is finebaum on crack, do u really think that Coach Links offense is going to stop just cause Caleb isn't there anymore? Heck no, Miller Time Moss is a very talented QB and Coach Link will show why he's the QB whisperer. I have The Trojans going 10-2 with a playoff berth. Remember this is the same SC team that pug 35+points on the quacks and Huskies, if SC had just a competent defensive staff they would have won both those games. Coach Link now has an elite defensive staff watch what they do this year✌🏽

Riley may be a good coach, but taking that USC good was the worst possible choice for him. I am a USC fan, USC's problems stem from a management problem. The people up top are not running the program like they should. USC is still trying to figure out how to navigate the NIL world. People say NIL is an advantage for USC, but they are not on the ground in USC. USC has a lot of distractions surrounding their program. Being a fan, I get the sense USC is worried about that and they dont know how to control it. People think coming to LA is all about being around celebrities. Guess what? The cartels and drug dealers are also around these celebrities. The other problem, other schools across the nation are stealing their recruits from their own backyard. That cant happen. Once USC figures out these two issues the coach will have success. Until then, they are going to struggle.

@@cmoon1992 exactly!!! their pipeline has been infiltrated and they haven't recovered! USC used to hog up all the elite Pacific Islander talent in the West coast but those days are long gone now. USC living in the past. Kids in SoCal don't care about USC's history they only care about now and USC hasn't done much except Caleb as a Heisman winner.

Lincoln Riley has shown NOT to care about defense. Defense is needed to win BIG. He didn't even care about firing Grinch after the first season at USC or when he was at Oklahoma despite the fact that his offenses were national championship worthy.

Just because I was Gary Bryant’s Barber and Ashton Cozart’s and also Jr Adams, I think this is Oregons best chance to finally win a National championship, with all the NIL money they are receiving and the Nike money daddy Phil is donating, Oregon got the players to compete and that’s all there is to it, but without those Uniforms and Phil Knight money, Oregon is NOTHING and that’s just reality.
