Hi out there, thanks in advance for your excellent videos, but can you please make another one where you show us how to replace the cooling fan (thermotube included) system, i've got a lenovo t450s-20bw and i've got big noises coming out from the fan, i've succeeded to open it and realized that the propeller was a little bit damaged and not spinning correctly thus explains the noise when the processor is heated (i bought my laptop as a second hand one) so i am not the first user ... i ordered a new original cooling fan system from singapore and my question will i be forced to apply some "pastry" underneath the piece with the 4 screws ? big fan from casablanca morocco of lenovo laptops :)

Hello, Karim. Sometimes the replacement part can come with thermal compound already applied. If it has pre-applied thermal compound then you do not need to add your own. If the part is bare metal, then you definitely want to apply some thermal compound to your CPU and GPU (if there is one). The Bluetooth connection on my T450s is very bad, any devices connecting to it, especially sound, it interrupts and gets disconnected. I opened the laptop and I find the wireless/BT card inside, next to it is a blue wire that is not connected, only the gray and back one as you shown in the video. 1. What is that blue (not connected) wire for? 2. Can I get a better BT experience if I replace the somewhat defected wifi/bt card? 3. What would you advise for the replacement card? Thinkpad T450S has a 2x2 wireless card, this might affect the connection of the Bluetooth when you're downloading or uploading using the Wi-Fi connection at the same time. Refer to this link lnv.gy/2IHSWW0. We suggest that you use the wireless connection specially Wi-Fi for downloading only when you're using the Bluetooth connection. Should you want to replace the 2X2 wireless card you upgrade it to 3X3 wireless card. Van_Lenovo

The t450 has two network slots, one Wi-Fi, the other WLAN card is on the left = instaled M.2. My t450 has taken 512GB and has been running windows here for a year - no complaints. Hello LenovoSupport. I am about to buy a used T450 and wanted to add a SIERRA EM7345 04X6014 4G LTE-Card. Can i install this card to this slot ? And will i have to uninstall an existing WLAN card for this to work or is there another empty slot for the new LTE card ?

Hello sir I have a Lenovo Thinkpad T550 and the wifi network card causes the download to just drop to zero kbps for a few second every minute or so , that never happens on my other laptop the T560 , so I want to change the original t550 ac7265 wifi network adapter( I guess upgrade to a newer model if possible) with a 8265 one(t570 one) or maybe at least 8260(t560 one) , would that be possible ?

Hi there, Mihai Baran! Thanks for reaching our support! Just to confirm, have you tried updating the Wi-Fi driver of the laptop? If not, please try updating it first before you perform the upgrade. In addition, upgrading the Wi-Fi card might not be able to fix the problem, and there is a possibility that the BIOS might not recognize the new Wi-Fi card that you will install. However, if you still want to upgrade or change the Wi-Fi card, you can check the tested and compatible Wi-Fi card for the laptop here lnv.gy/2KQsE3P (look for Anthena). @@LenovoSupport _there is a possibility that the BIOS might not recognise the new Wi-Fi card that you will install_ Don't you mean the *whitelist* that Lenovo puts in the BIOS stops you installing or upgrading parts on a laptop that you *OWN* . I am just glad that car manufacturers don't do this. Imagine having to buy a new car because you want to put Goodyear tyres on your car instead of standard the Dunlop ones that it comes with.

I just successfully pulled off this video, but there was one difference: the grey cable, rather than being connected to the "Main" port on this card, was connected to the Sierra mobile card to its left. Is it normal that the cellular LAN card would be designated as main, rather than the wireless LAN, and does this remove any functionality from the regular wireless LAN card? My user is experiencing an issue where only the very closest networks show on the list of available networks, and switching out the card doesn't seem to have fixed the issue.

Hi. I've got a problem with the PCI port drivers. Is there anyway you can send me the drivers that a Thinkpad T420 should have to run properly? Mine has a NVIDIA NVS 4200M. Since I installed Win 10 my computer always says there is a problem with the disk and the pci port. 😢😭

@@LenovoSupport Well. There is no error message. Windows shows me the message as a notification but it doesn't have any type of code: "restart to repair driver errors". When I check what drivers are not working, the one that says PCI Port is the only driver I cannot fix. Also when I try to run some games that used to run perfectly in my device, now they just crash. IDK if this has something to do with the driver. Could you help me please? Well, it originally had Windows 7.

I see. Are there any changes or updates prior to this issue? Also, where did you get Windows 10 that you installed on the device? Could you try to check if there's any available Windows updates that need to be updated. If there is please do the update accordingly. @@LenovoSupport I've got an original copy using my bussiness account provided by the university in which I'm enrolled. The copy has the latest update, but it seems that the problem persists even when I have updated it.

We've checked and found that the Thinkpad T420 is not compatible with Windows 10 OS lnv.gy/2SAhcBb There are no Windows 10 drivers available as well in the support page lnv.gy/2SEBqtJ The OS listed in the drivers page are the only compatible one to your laptop.
