I also don't want to be too diatonic about this, but your every video is a breeze of fresh air. It's a spring every time I see a new video. Around 9:30 - it seems to me that often a "mistake" (rhytm in this case) is when you subconsciously want to go somewhere but you haven't realized that yet. I'm not sure that makes sense. Any chance for one non-orchestral episode? I'd love to see where would you go with percussion / electric guitar or something EDMish. Just writing it because you asked for suggestions elsewhere, I love these videos as they are. Almost forgot, the piece turned out amazing. Glad you kept adding those instruments. PS 27:04 to me B flat would work perfectly if you continued down to A. Nice spice. But I guess you wanted go up instead.

One of the most valuable thing my teacher has said to me is "throw out LOTS AND LOTS of ideas, melodies, etc. Someone who is afraid of throwing a melody/motif out is basically afraid of not having many good ideas in them. With your talent, skills and enthusiasm can be very interesting to hear a different type of music than you "usually" do. Have you ever tried to create for example a rock ballad with synthesizers or virtual guitar instruments? Or some dance/trance music? You clearly have a good foundation in composition and orchestration. Your challenge in getting work is going to be finding a voice that is more distinctive and more contemporary. The scoring is really nice but probably not quite different enough to cut through the competition. So that's where a lot of the work would be I would imagine - broadening your pallet and deepening your understanding of how music and the moving image work, Its complicated! @@ThinkSpaceEducation Ah I didn't know EW stuff was ever in Kontakt. I've had EW Hollywood Brass Gold for years but hardly ever use it because I dislike PLAY. Wish that worked in Kontakt. Symphobia 2 on DVD was my first library in 2010 and it had the 'Libraries' menu folder then so guess you must have bought it before then. I didn't even have Kontakt then haha. Cheers! :)

@@Dan-kb2oz The thing is though a great performance properly recorded in 2010 is just as good today however many times things get repackaged. I converted a lot of my original VSL stuff from Gigastudio to Kontakt and still use it

@@ThinkSpaceEducation Absolutely. I was tempted by some of the VSL stuff years back but then Spitfire came along and now my bank balance is significantly lower haha!

Fantastic teacher. I am an Italian composition teacher. I organize training and improvement courses on behalf of the Italian government. Would you be willing to take summer master classes on the island of Sardinia?
