Join us for a look at the set of Third Rail, a psychological thriller set in Singapore where a train gets hijacked and commuters are taken hostage.
It is one of the largest film sets to ever be built in Singapore, and also the first time that decommissioned MRT trains were used for filmmaking in Singapore.
The train in question is a 1987 SMRT Kawasaki Heavy Industries C151.

Watched the film. Suffice to say, I feel bad about it. Such a sad state of affairs for MediaCorp. Would have given it to Hollywood and it would do a much better job I guess…

I hope this television drama will be exciting and successful, given how expensive it is to build this flimset (just transporting the train from Tuas Depot to Changi Exhibition Centre alone is already a five-figure sum)

Well… I watched it and I am just amused at how bad it was. Use foreign accent somemore! It’s too artificial for my liking…
