My marriage is crumbling and I'm so hurt and confused about everything, and then I see this. I have consistently thought up all sorts of scenarios to fix it, but then I suddenly see every single one blow up in my face. Then I see this video, and I'm reminded that God is listening to me, that He is with me and is in charge. And that it's time for me to calm my mind. I prayed earlier today that I needed help getting my mind past the issues around my marriage, and God allows me to see this. I'm so thankful to Jesus! He truly does care! 1 Peter 5:7 "6 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: 7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you."

Earlier today, I prayed with eyes filled with tears and in fear. At 1:30am I was awaken with a racing mind due to “overthinking”. This was great! As a 20 year military veteran, I’ve suffered from pstd after returning from Iraq in 2005. This video made more since to me; than any VA counseling I’ve had. Thanks for teaching Sir!! This is probably the most necessary and brilliant teaching I've come across in a long time. I've always thought we need to learn how to think; we need to teach our children how to think (according to godly wisdom). What your said about neuroplasticity is relevant. I'm thinking of Dr. Caroline Leaf who is a Christian. She has shown and proven that even a person with a mental illness can change their mind. She showed that reading and believing the bible as the most excellent effect on brain health. I'm listening because I think God led me to this video... it was a rough morning of old, painful thoughts. Thank you.

When you clear your mind the Holy Spirit can speak. A clear mind certainly opens the door to revelation and guidance and solutions. Don't worry, is great advice. And I believe this to be what he explained. We know he is a thinker based on the background of his video and the way he expresses himself. I am just concerned people may implement his advice in the extreme. For example, I once had a woman tell me to stop over-thinking, two weeks later I uncovered her plan to con me out of everything and over-thinking made that inconvenient and impossible for her. From that day on, I made note of everyone who told me to stop over-thinking. Some mean well, others, not so much... As he said, don't worry, don't dwell on negative thoughts, and control your thoughts. But DO think! I love thinking! It is a Joy! And I will never forget that it, AND the Holy Spirit, saved me from losing everything.

At first I didn't get, but after going to Philippians 4 and reading I'd say versus 6-9. I get the bank and peace analogy better now. It's like exchanging our worry and overthinking for peace and trust in God. That was good.
