i have a p0442 and i have this weird hissing noise in front of the plenum. basically near the pcv valve and the hose.

My valve cover just started leaking, I ordered all new gaskets and a new pcv valve. Hopefully it fixes my issue, Ill try just the pcv valve first to see if the leak stops because its a super slow and small leak.

My 350z misfires after the car is warm (sometimes misfires) and I am smelling burnt oil coming from underneath my car what could be the causes? And at times I smell a nasty smell(probably burnt oil) through the AC vents from inside the car. PLEASE HELP

Hey!! Sounds like the gasket might be going out. I'd have your head gasket looked at; and there might be other signs of oil leakage, like on the side of the block. Do you smell oil under hard acceleration? My head gasket is also going, but the oil is leaking out of the motor and not into the cylinder (as far as I know). Will be having this fixed soon! Hope this helps man, really appreciate your comment and hope you get it figured out soon :)

I have a question: I bought a 2003 350z and there seems to be an oil pressure issue, I just wanna know what it could be before I go get work done on it. I'm thinking it's probably the gallery gasket, when driving I have normal oil pressure, but when I get down to idle it shows me low oil pressure. It won't do it when I drive real easy and don't really push it but if I get into the 3,4, or 5k rpm range then the moment I come down to idle it shows me low oil pressure. I don't have any oil leaks and I just did an oil change about 500 miles ago to try and remedy this. Someone please help me figure this out I just wanna try everything I can before doing the gallery gallery job since that would be around 1.5-2k$

I’m having issues with my Z it’s an 04 and when it warms up everything drives fine and then randomly my oil light will come on and the gauge will dump to 0 psi even with normal oil levels any idea on what the issue could be?

I drive an 06 here, I had the same issues at you, the gallery gaskets can go bad for these cars, try looking into that.

Brooo I'm not even on coilovers yet! These are some Amazon lowering springs that were on the car when I picked it up and they're extremely stiff haha will be going BC racing coilovers in the near future🙏 Thanks for stopping by today Grant!

I've searched for an answer to the oil consumption issue for a couple of years. It seems that the main reason there is high oil consumption on our Z's has something to do with the o-rings on the pistons. There are tons of videos and forum post where people have done all kinds of different things to the pvc. Vent it to the outside, used catchcans, drill the valve out. Oil consumption is still high. It sucks. It's just something we have to deal with in our Z's.
