I would suggest playing 1 match of overwatch and then using replay to see the avg fps, training range is not ever a good indication of how rapidly performance can drop when 5v5 fights happen with multiple ults and ability usage. It can tank cpu performance from 600 to 450ish on 13900k.

No offense, but as a "poor person" $1000 is midrange. $500-600 or so is budget. Most of the PCs I end up recommending to friends use like a 5600g with a 5500 xt or a 1650 or some crap. It's kinda sad. Anyway as for my build, I got a 12900k bundle from microcenter for $400, a thermalright phantom spirit cooler for $40, and a 850W thermaltake PSU for $100, and then I reused components from my last build, I reused my case, my hard drives and SSDs, and the 6650 XT I upgraded to last year. I know you crapped on AMD cards but at a "poor person's" budget, man, all we can afford is freaking AMD. I got my 6650 XT for $230 last year, nvidia wanted $340 for a freaking 3060 and $280 for a freaking 3050, it was sad. Its better now, but still, at $280 for a 3060 or $300 for a 4060, eh, I mean, nvidia is better than it was, but still, given the RX 6600 is like $190-200ish and the 6650 XT is still like $220-230...eh.... I mean, at that price range, nvidia just doesnt offer good value, and intel is unstable AF. Like I know you were talking about AMD running old cards at 10 FPS...no that's intel arc cards. At least AMD cards largely work. Anyway if I were recommending a true budget build with no access to microcenter, I'd probably say go for a 12600k given discounts ive seen recently (processor has been down to $140-160) and something like a 6600 or 6650 XT. If you want an AMD CPU maybe a 5700x, if you want an nvidia GPU, go 3060 or 4060. And yeah, that's a decent budget friendly build. Of course if you have microcenter nearby, get their CPU/mobo/RAM bundles, you're talking 5600 X3D with 16 GB RAM for $300, 12900k or 7700x with 32 GB DDR5 for $400, a 7800X3D with 32 GB RAM for $500, or a 13700k/14700k with 32 GB RAM for $600. And yes, that's with a motherboard too. It's nuts. I personally went 12900k because it seemed like an insane processor for the money, the AMD AM5 bundles seemed....unstable based on reviews, and the 5600X3D is nice...but who wants to buy a 6 core CPU in 2023? Like here's the thing with CPUs...if you go too cheap, you're not saving money. You gotta consider how much money you're paying and then how many years of decent performance you're likely getting out of it. Wanna cheap out with a 6c/12t when games are already 100%ing that, go for it but you'll feel that in 2-4 years. I'd go at least 8 core or like a 12600k/13400f for some futureproofing otherwise. You could argue vs a 5600X3D it doesnt matter and sure, but then there's the RAM and the 12900k deal. I mean, I didnt wanna reuse my previous slower DDR4, so Id need to buy another kit of RAM to get 32 GB so it would cost $340 but again, for $60 more over that I could just buy a 12900k and get one of the best CPUs out right now (as demonstrated by this channel) for literal budget prices. It's insane. I mean when you consider that a decent DDR5 6000 kit costs $100 and a Z motherboard costs like $200, you're getting a fricking 16 core CPU for $100. Will I ever use all the cores? no. Is it still better than a fricking 6 core AM4 chip? Heck yes. So yeah highly recommend a trip to microcenter if it's an option, it's INSANE.

Choosing second hand Nvidia over better value Radeon options for the argument of reliability while also picking out a scuffed/compromising VRM and ram setup that could potentially cause problems in a hot climate or when swapped to a different case is not a consistent build philosophy. The practicality of this build just isn't there. Edit: removed my part about the potential of the active cooling fan failing, not much of a valid criticism as others have pointed out.

LOL amd doesn’t have anything better value than a 2080ti at 310$…Your comment is idiotic as well because a fan can fail on any system and seeing how that fan is the CPU AIO fan your PC would shut down long before your VRM or Ram is an issue…Especially if you plug it into the proper CPU fan header and set your thermal policy to turn off the system if no PWM signal is received for RPM..In which case you get out of your chair and buy any 140mm fan and swap it out in 5min. AMD fanboys - can’t expect logic from them.

I purchased the Z790i motherboard and paired it with the Intel Core i9 13k CPU and 32GB of DDR5 RAM running at 7200MHz with CL36 timings from Team Force. I attempted to overclock them to 8000MHz with CL36 timings using MSI's 'Try It!' feature, and it initially seemed stable. However, after 3 hours of gaming, it crashed the game once a day. I then tried overclocking to 8200MHz with CL40 timings, but it crashed after 2 hours. I eventually settled on a more stable configuration of 7800MHz with CL36 timings, and it has been running smoothly for two days now. Here are the performance results: - At 7200MHz XMP: 620-690fps - At 7800MHz with 'Try It!': 720-750fps - At 8000MHz: 700-800fps I conducted these tests in Valorant, with only bots spawning.

Yes, because it actually runs without crashing and black screens, due to crumby drivers. I recently bought a RX 7900 XTX Gaming X Trio to try. Uninstalled previous drivers with DDU Uninstaller, card wouldn't post. Got it to boot eventually. Worked fine in the games I tried, however, just trying to toggle simple features inside of Adrenalin caused black screens. Thought to myself: oh well, I'll keep testing it. Decided to do some simple video editing in Premiere Pro, BOOM, crashed twice in a row. Popped my 3090 TI back in, booted straight away, and works with everything. Anyone that has had any experience with AMD knows (and are honest with themselves) that you WILL experience issues, unless you literally only use the card to play COD. AMD is not worth the cost saving. I should note that, at this point, I have had RX 6800, 6800 XT, RX 6950 XT - the latter did have less issues, but still had it's weird quirks. Nvidia has over 90% of the market share for good reason guys, everything just works. Don't waste your time on AMD. Don't even know why I am saying this to someone that opts for AMD, as you simply can't reason with them xD hopefully some poor soul who was going to buy AMD sees it, though.

Anybody have any ideas to fix games randomly crashing when alt tabbing on a dual pc setup with display cloning? Main reason I went dual pc was because of input latency from single pc. It's happened on my old 5800x and now my 7700x so I'm pretty sure if I switched to intel issues would be resolved. BUT the only game I care about is Counter Strike, so I'd like to stay AMD if possilble, but I might have to switch back to intel if that's the only solution.

Should I upgrade my gpu or ram ? I have a 5900x with Corsair 3600mhz cl18-22-22-39 Gpu is a rtx 3060 amp white. I found a 3070 same model for 300$ which is pretty good. the ram I want is g skill 32gig 4000mhz c16-16-16-36 1.4v This kit is 250$ there’s another kit that’s c19-19-19-39 at 1.35v this kit is 268$ then there’s a 220$ kit 32gig 3600mhz c14-14-14-34 1.45v. Before anyone asks… yes these are all g skill and have rgb lol. In reality I don’t need to upgrade but when I experienced smoother pacing across games that give me micro stutters. I was sold. the 3600mhz kit that I’m using is overclocked to 3800mhz \ stock timings. my kit goes to 4000mhz but it’s not stable hense why I settled for 3800mhz

Gpu, no brainer you won’t see a difference changing ram vvv little , I’m running 3600 cl18 ram with 5900x , tried 3600 cl14 tighter timings was a waste of money.. 3600mhz stock with decent timings should be stable and smooth …

@@ukgunit001 I got the 3070 & I gotta say that I made the right choice. when it comes to the 5800x or higher. you need low latency + high speed b die. & then you tune the timings. You need atleast 3800mhz or better on the frequency. I’m gonna go ahead & buy the 5800x3d plus some good b die. the results are pretty insane when comparing the 5900x vs 5800x3d for gaming. the 5800x3d has much higher highs & average. While the 5900x has better lows & decent highs / average. when you get good b die for the 5800x3d the lows are crazy high & the highs / average gets even crazier. with the 5900x you see some improvement in the lows & highs / average but I rather 200 1% lows so 5800x3d with bdie ram it is. To make my pc overkill now I need a new case, 3090, 750w psu or better, new case & an extra fan ;)

Thanks supporters and maybe one of you could help me quick. I’m a poor up and coming cod bro i guess since I just recently upgraded to a pc to try and compete lol so I’m new at this but learning since I watch every vid. Got a 12900k, 3090ti, pro z690a with 32gb 5200 ddr5. I average 250 fps in multiplayer but only about 170 in Warzone on 1080p. What’s the goal? Wanting to upgrade my old 144hz 1080p to a 240hz 1440p monitor so 240fps in 1440 without upgrading the whole setup is my goal. Obviously ram is a start but I don’t know which affiliate link is best for my exact setup. I’d like to to do the ram upgrade regardless so any help on that would be appreciated. But I doubt that will get me to my goal so what’s the move after that remembering I’m also poor? Become a member and learn how to overclock it myself? Obviously a consult but I’d rather not spend $600 if I didn’t have to but I will if it’s the only way to compete. But maybe that $600 towards upgrades would be better instead? Ugh this pc shit is confusing haha but I’m excited to learn more. I’m dumb and this post is all over but if somebody can help me out or point me in the right direction I’d greatly appreciate it.

You’re not gonna get ddr5 much faster than ~ 6000mhz on that motherboard unfortunately. You need to start there, try and hunt for bargains on the z790i edge. Keep in mind that is an iTX board which means it’s tiny like the one Ivan uses in this video. Only difference is that the Edge does have decent heat sinks but you’re still looking at a fairly difficult time getting things to stabilise at low temps, but having good case airflow will get you there no problem. Then for ram a good bet is to go for 7600mhz TeamGroup 32gb sticks if you want a-die, but that’s hard to overclock for most. You can always drop the speed of the sticks down from 7600 to 7200mhz in the bios if they won’t post with the higher speed. He hasn’t linked those particular sticks here but if you go back a couple of vids I think you will find them. They are also easy to find anyways.

@@dimitry7182 Appreciate the response. And thats what I was afraid of from what I’ve learned so far. The case is huge. It’s a Phanteks MetallicGear Neo Qube Case with 9 fans in it (3 intake on the bottom, 3 intake on the back in front of the 360mm AIO, 3 exhaust on top) with room for more on the end so I don’t think cooling would be an issue but idk exactly. So what exactly would you recommend then given that information? Keeping in mind I’ve never overclocked so the more “plug and play” it is from the start would be ideal but I’m also willing to try and learn and want to eventually.

@@killshot3331 Other than it looking a bit weird having a mobo that small in a case that big it should be totally fine. You'll probably also have to find a way to somehow prop a fan up so it's blowing air right down the RAM sticks if you're going to be trying for something 7200mhz+. But yeah, your cheapest way to achieving high ram speeds (7200mhz+) is the MSI z790i Edge. With a 12900k you should be able to hit 7200mhz reliably with XMP, anything above doesn't always work even on a 13900k, let alone on a 12900k but at least you should be able to set XMP, set speed to 7200mhz and it should work a-ok. Then still go for the TeamGroup sticks I spoke about (T-Force Delta, 32gb, 7600mhz CL36) as those seem to be really cheap right now, have actually useable heatspreader + thermal pad setup and is RGB if you care about that. If you want I can provide further assistance and give you a hand but it's not gonna happen over youtube comments. Drop me something (i.e. discord name), I'll add you and give you a hand.
