I totally agree with your regarding this. I grew up in the deep South, early 60's and was fishing by age 5, hunting with my BB gun by 6-7. First real gun, A single shot .410 at 12. Many a memory did I make. Gun safety by my grandpa and step-dad. Keep on keeping on my friend.

I am going to school for game design and i actually really like hunting and the concept of living off the wild (i am also nonbinary and bisexual). People keep talking abt our generation like we have no idea how to take care of ourselves or respect other beliefs but honestly we arent so bad.

Good for you. Glad you are enjoying the out doors. Was just an observation of my kid and others her age. Honestly I just like the guys videos and try to drop a comment once in a while along with the likes to help him and his channel out.

My dad would eat raccoons but i never cared for the taste. Lots of folk ate them here in western North Carolina. Great video!

Folks around here eat them too. I've even eaten them, but I really never cared for the idea of eating carnivores critters.

I wasn't much older than your little boy when my dad sent me and my brother with .22s into the woods with our Mountain Feist dog to hunt squirrels for lunch. It should be a life lesson for all kids. It also teaches you to respect animals. We have grizzly bears where we live which would always scare me hunting as a kid. My dad used to tell me I just had to outrun my brother if the grizzly chased me. lol

Great video and you are on the right track! I don't try to enlighten those who do not live in the real world but wanted to mention, in this post, it is good that real adults are still teaching children just how precious life is and our responsibility to manage animals. Respectful management of life is what your boys are learning! Silly/Disney understanding of the world leaves us in a world where fur clothing/use is frowned upon. Coon populations round here are ridiculous to the point that rabies is more prevalent and my neighbors and I have to fight (trap/hunt) like crazy just to grow corn and/or raise chickens... Prayers for you and yours. Keep it up!

Thanks Ryan. Lol he don't always listen that well, but he's truly interested in hunting and fishing so he seems to really pay attention when he gets to go along on these trips.
