Welcome to my VLOG capturing my return to Ferry Meadows, but my first visit to the Parkrun here. Ferry Meadows is located just outside Peterborough.
Today was my 164th personal Parkrun and the 495th here at Ferry Meadows having being established in August 2013.
The course here is predominantly tarmac paths and is almost completely flat, except for a couple of times crossing Ham Bridge. The first kilometer comprises a short loop, before passing the start point again in the opposite direction. The course then follows an out and back with a loop of the Bluebell Trail marking the turnaround point of the course. It is a ‘keep left’ course which is important to adhere to given the runners are running in both directions following the turnaround point on a relatively narrow path.
The facilities here include parking very close to the Parkrun start which cost £1 if you scan your Parkrun barcode at the ticket machine. There are also toilets next to the car park which were open when I arrived at 8am and looked brand new. There are food and drink facilities close to the start / finish of the Parkrun at the Ferry Meadows Cafe.
