amazing vid! Funnily enough, I had a similar issue where I would make my inital flick very quick so my microadjustment had a lot of tension and it looked like when I was making my micro correction that the cursor would bounce. Going slower and focusing more on the underflicking/straight line ideas helped me improve a lot more while having no tension

bare in mind also there might be a slight element of hardware diff involved here as well. While it's obviously mostly a case of technique, skill and a lot of practice, you'd be surprised just how much more seamless and natural certain scenarios come to you (like target switching/tracking) once you mindfully optimise your hardware. definitely do your research before dumping any money into these peripherals however.

i dont understand it 100% clearly so are you just supposed to aim with little to no tension when aiming and tracking can you help me out?
@Alex-fh4my
@Alex-fh4my 12 күн бұрын
@@keithbrownjr857 Generally, in order to make fast flicks or large adjustments, that requires a lot of tension. The faster you try to flick, the more tension that requires (most especially in the landing of the movement). The problem with that is once you do land, and you want to make the microadjustment / continue to track the target - the more tension you have, the harder it is to make either precise or smooth movements. Think of it this way - try to write as neatly as possible while gripping a pen as hard as you can, with as much tension as possible throughout your entire fingers, hand, and arm. You'll find that you can't make smooth and precise movements. To answer your question - you need tension to make fast movements. The faster the movement - the more tension. However, the more tension, the less you are able to make smooth and precise movements. Since you need to make BOTH fast and smooth/precise movements, you need to manage your tension such that you get the best of both worlds. If you try to aim with as little tension as possible, you will be slow as fuck and will have awful static / target switching ability. You'll need to practice and figure out how to manage the level of tension throughout different kinds of movements
@Zaleks
@Zaleks 2 күн бұрын
@@keithbrownjr857 The consensus rn (could change in the future) is that tracking should be done with minimum tension possible. In general, it is best to have a low tension in your arm/wrist/finger when aiming. But for fast movement like flicks you need this tension. So you start the movement with a spike of tension to move the mouse fast, and release the tension as you reach the target to be able to micro correct (which doesn't need tension, you don't need speed but accuracy) on the target. Hope it helps

You made me rethink my whole aiming method, I’m used to high sens in general and playing which with time I went I to “medium” sens (old bad habit on game that don’t require precision but more raw prefire and flicks) I aim with wrist 80% of any movement and will try to master more arm movement

@@Assassunn True but look at him going so precise and fast, arm flick>wrist microajust>shoot this is insane for long distance flicks without overflicking or having too high of a sens to micro adjust
@Assassunn
@Assassunn 2 ай бұрын
@@z44k. yes this is what I do, arm flick with lot of tension then micro adjust with wrist (800 dpi 0.22 valo) but except for turns, 0.22 still allows me to flick directly with the wrist when it's horizontal. The other issue with arm is that you need to reset your aim more often and it's more shaky/slower :/ I ordered a mousepad with high stopping power, I'm considering to try out a 0.34 sens, this is what most pro use and the high stopping power should help this micro adjustments. I don't like my sens with my very glidy mousepad because it requires A LOT of tension management to be able to not overflick too much or/and just do two flicks (no shaky crosshair). Like high tension to be quick, then release immediately before the micro adjustment is HARD to do consistently.
@z44k.
@z44k. Ай бұрын
@@Assassunn 0.34 is kinda « high » forsaken type of sens but it’s still playable even try like 0.275 just toy around until you find something that doesn’t tire you and make you feel comfy then go for wide walls scenarios to force the microadjusts
@Assassunn
@Assassunn Ай бұрын
@@z44k. thank you, I received my new mousepad it has quite a lot of stopping power and I went 0.32. This is quite impressive tbh I aim with the wrist locked and many times it goes straight onto the target but when it doesn't the micro adjustment is kinda hard not because of the high sens but because it feels like my mouse is stucked. On a glidy mousepad it was quite easy to micro adjust because it would kick instantly and I would use click timing. Now it's much more about muscle memory to get the right first impulse with the right angle than mouse control and click timing I was relying so much on glidy pad. Getting used to a new sens even from 0.22 to 0.32 is quick, but to a new type of mousepad this feels like it'll take a month of labour.

I'm loosing my mind over this debate. It's been a month and it seems this debate is second to High-Sens vs Low-Sens debate. *Will these questions ever find the answer? Or are we going to correct ourselves again in cycles?* 1) Flick -> Time it correctly while flicking - > Shoot 2) Flick -> Micro adjust -> Shoot 3) Precise 1st-flick movement -> Shoot at first-contact 4) Precise 1st-flick -> Micro adjust -> Shoot when sure I think the question is when to do concentrated motion vs blind motion, and at which steps. 🤔 I like your approach of doing according to different situations. Like Precise Motion when holding an angle, as the opponent who's checking need to gather the data and you would use that as an advantage to get 100% accurate shot. On mid-long ranges, flicking and then taking time to micro adjust. (As it's long distance and targets are moving, can't risk with blind flicks). I think that clip with 1HP also enlightens that you MIGHT end up in the position where you have to depend on your 1st flick accuracy. This means we cannot deny 1st-flick-shot practice, even when these also end up developing bad habits. Meanwhile, I'll cope with my 60hz monitor and put the blame on it.

idk if you'll see this comment but I've noticed my aim is more consistent because i'm not stressed and anxious and I hold my mouse differently. In game, i tend to hold my mouse tight which causes some shakiness and I can't really microadjust. But when it comes to aim training I dont face this problem. I think there is a lot more benefit from gripping my mouse in terms of speed and comfortability, if I try to aim in game like I do in aim trainers I feel like a snail idk how to explain. Would you recommend aim training while gripping my mouse and aiming like I do in game, or vise versa and try to aim in game like how i aim in aim trainers?
@MINIGOD1337

Taking the technique aspect away. I believe the best that you could do is just doing some aim training under pressure as in with scenarios that are forcing this anxious feeling that you might have inside of the game. Scenarios like VT Pulseshot Six, VCT NA - Tenz might serve as a great opener to enhance your training and make it more effective.
