Dave Aranda still has not announced a starting QB for the Baylor Bears in 2024, but the popular pick is Toledo transfer DeQuan Finn, whose elusiveness and deep ball ability is reminding coaches of TCU great Trevone Boykin, who finished top 10 in the Heisman voting his last two seasons in Fort Worth.
Baylor basketball is not done using the transfer portal this spring, and they may well have found their Jalen Bridges replacement out of the PAC 12.

About the potential split of the haves and have nots in college football. I'm not sure Baylor has recruiting glamour and the money to compete year in and year out in the upper tier. I would favor being in the 2nd tier and competing for that championship EVERY year! What do you think?

A qb like Boykin < a qb like Seth Russell. Russell's ceiling was more RG3esque and we would have seen than if ou didn't twist his leg off. Finn is looking at an injury the way he runs combined with a less than stellar O-line. Robertson needs to stay ready and this was a bad time to lose RJ Martinez. The qb attrition rate could be disheartening by mid-season. All IMHO of course.
