I actually slightly prefer it through the solid state poweramp. Both ways sound good. One of the better pedal preamps I’ve heard by far.

Sounds awesome! All these great pre-amp style distortions aren’t just great for working musicians, but I honestly think are the future. My prediction: in ten years, preamp pedals into clean power amps and cabs/DIs will replace the traditional tube amp for most musicians. I bought a Westminster Effects 2716 after hearing your demo of it, Kyle, and downsized from a Marshall DSL to a Line 6 Catalyst as a clean platform. The 2716 and Catalyst honestly kick that DSLs butt into next Tuesday. Now I want one of these to go with it!

You got the best demo video of this pedal I’ve seen.. I don’t play the heavy stuff like you were showing now, but most definitely did in my earlier years!😎. My equation is that this pedal will transend through to a small Marshall combo, or Dr. Z.., thanks for the review!

oh my GOD. i love Soldano and i run a mooer pre amp into the efx loop of any backline im performing and this would bloody give me the soldano sound in a pre amp pedal
