I saw this new one in person at the LA auto show and I was sold. It's perfect. The new sleeker design, new extra plush interior, combined with the fact that it can actually drive on the trails = my dream car.

I think features like the rear wheel steer and front/rear locking difs make this Range Rover very capable. Agree not many will see the dirt but I’m looking forward to being the 3rd owner after 7 years 😜

I think the 2014 - 2021 model just became a great buy...finding one w/low miles and a certified pre owned warranty might be the real way to go.... 🙂

Roman there is no way consumers are buying a Range Rover to off-road. The 3rd owner might do it but by then it's just a maintenance nightmare.

Fantastic car. I think Rivian has taken a lot of ideas from Land Rover. I’m amazed how people look at Rivian with such surprise about all this new technology. Alot has been in Land Rover forever

How is it surprising that a Range Rover is capable off road? It’s the best off road vehicle in the world!…no fancy off road tyres or special accessories…just Land Rover making what they make

I had a Range Rove Autobiography... It was by far the most sophisticated and comfortable (on road) vehicle I have ever owned.. Unfortunately I am cursed to have had wayyy too much money, too young, but also lacked knowledge about what makes a good 4x4 for off road use.. A friend suggested I get a secondary dedicated off road vehicle, and I ended up buying a 2019 Toyota 4Runner TRD Off Road, eventually had the Magnuson supercharger installed, lifted it, put in a hybrid front winch bumper, a small lift and my hubby installed aftermarket shocks and suspension... I found myself only using the Range Rover for work commute and groceries, so eventual sold it.. I'm now waiting on delivery of a new Lexus LX.. I do like luxury in a real SUV, but it absolutely NEED to be capable off road, rugged and reliable SUV, here in the BC mountains.. The Range Rove was not thst great ALWAYS being in rough country.. My Toyota loves it, and I already drove the LX abd know it's perfect for my needs

The interior of the dash looks a little bit to the new Tundra with the white leather and the wood trim across above the glove compartment. Just a little but I like how Range Rover still kept it classy not too crazy.

I'd like to see how this would perform with 18" wheels and 32" A/T tires. Imo that's the big let down with these modern Rovers, is their tires. It's sketchy to wheel something with 4" of sidewall, easy to slip a bead or pinch a sidewall.

Speaking as a Brit that actually shoots, the dropdown tailgate is somewhere to sit and drink tea, whilst waiting for "your man" in his old (real) Defender to drop you and your guns off at home because Land-Rover assist are having to come out to tow your brand new but broken car to the dealers.

Aston Martin were selling the one-77 a full year before tesla with flush door handles you can easily change the dash to Fahrenheit and miles per gallon..... Otherwise apart from the usual moaning about reliability, it's new and warrantied and I honestly think it will be a lot better with new suppliers etc involved at design, its not as expensive as some and way better balue than mercs so heres hoping it sells well, its one gorgeous car in and out, the fit and finish is incredible, thanks from the 🇬🇧 oh yes i drive landrover products on the hills of north east Scotland

If we air down those tires for better flotation, and traction off road, uhhh we better carry four spares also. Some tech doesn't cross over too well. OK now I understand this is reimagined off road capable for reserved parking.

So, I know everybody says it because of the "go pro effect", but I'm pretty dang sure a Toyota Camary could handle that course no problem! For the rest of the vehicle, it just didn't command the $165k price tag IMO. Honestly, the materials didn't appear to be THAT much better than something like a Denali, Lincoln, BMW, or Merc and the way those screens just seemed tacked on like a complete afterthought just left me shaking my head. My 2009 Chevy Trailblazer with an aftermarket stereo has a better integrated screen for dag sake!

Gorgeous machine, very capable (not that it was really tested here). Gonna be a maintenance nightmare when warranty is up.

Am I the only one who hates the rear end on the new RR?

They need to bring back the body style from the 1998 Land Rover Disco 1 (or Disco 2 for those folks who like that sort of thing). The 23 in wheel is awful. Stick with 18 in wheel, with 32 in off road tires. A full EV Disco 1, without all the electronic cushy stuff for urban off-roaders (looking at you heated and cooled steering wheel and seats), would be my choice. Keep that price under $40K for the rest of us normal people. Great video.

The elephant in the room, reliability is not land rovers strongest suit. Customer reviews have shown, and were not talking about a decade ago, even in the last few years. No doubt great engineering and features but there’s just more options to fail after warranty. Google it, it’s al, there.
