Just passing along an update: I bought the Ergo3D about 17 months ago and still using and loving the chair. Lots of hours working (and playing) in this chair and it still doesn't show wear and tear, it is still supportive and still gives me hours and hours of pain-free computer desk work. Thanks Ahnestly for a great recommendation (and the affiliate discount was a nice bonus).

I'm 6'1 (almost) and quite heavyset, so the 90kg is a far cry from where I am now, but I really love the thought that went into this chair, the ergonomics of it is pretty amazing. The fact they supply additional wheels for hard floors for me is a testament of their thoughtfulness. But I haven't bought an office chair in ages so I don't know whether that is the new norm nowadays and they simply comply. Love your reviews, just ran into your channel and subscribed on the Eames lounge chair review. It seems your reviews are rock solid and well prepared, great content mate! Thanks

Thanks for the review. Was always on the fence of buying a better chair as the price tag for anything decent is pretty hefty. This video convinced me to pull the trigger. Managed to find a good deal on this used for only 230 CAD (~180 USD). Very comfortable for someone on the shorter side (164cm).

Under 300. Maybe even under 200. But I've heard the same thing about freight prices, from someone in the industry. Still, it seems like prices on a lot of chairs have risen by much more than just the cost of freight, materials, or inflation. One example, the autonomous ergochair recline went from $200 to $600. This nouhaus is a steal in comparison. But many budget and non- budget chairs seem to have risen in cost significantly. It makes sense that freight costs would cause a greater percentage increase of the total cost of a budget chair.

Dude! So glad you mentioned that foam pad at the front of the seat of the chair. NOBODY ELSE DID. I had purchased this chair last month. I used it for about 2 hours TOTAL, and then disassembled and boxed it to return/refund. My main gripe was that foam pad that was digging into my under-thighs, which is NO BUENO for circulation. I'm 5'11"(160lbs)...and that really killed my short experience with this chair. ...and you're also the only reviewer who pointed out the height difference between the smaller casters and the rollerblade casters. When I first assembled the chair, I installed the rollerblade casters. But when I sat down, with the lowest seat height, my shoeless heels were not on the ground. My toes were touching the ground, but not my heels...which again is bad for circulation. So I replaced the rollerblade casters with the cheap hard plastic casters, then my heels were able to firmly rest on the floor. Again, NONE of the other video reviews for this chair mentioned either one of those issues(which really ruined my experience with this chair). In the future, I'm just going to test chairs IN-PERSON...or read your reviews instead. You totally nailed this review. Wish I would have watched it before purchasing this chair. So yeah, anybody shorter than 5'10"(without shoes) may need to place something under their feet if they seek to have a proper 90-degree bend in the knee while sitting. I was so disappointed in this chair, as I was REALLY hoping that I would love it. The third thing that killed my experience was that I couldn't rest completely upright. I need a chair that I can lean back into, but still completely upright...because I need that posture for much of my work(8 hours per day). So would you happen to know chairs off-hand that would work for someone about 6ft in height, and 160lbs...where I can rest in a perfect upright position...and has better leg circulation(no hard foam digging into under-thighs)?

I just recently purchased the Nouhaus Rewind chair and I wanted to love it so much, but I have pretty long legs for someone who is around 5'6"/5'7" and the seat depth kills the back of my thighs because there is so much of a gap. The design is very similar to the Ergo 3D, but it has an added foot rest. The chair is so comfortable and all the features are great, but I will be returning it because of the problem I am having with the seat. I hope that they improve this in the future because I am so sad that it didn't work out for me. Great products, great customer service, great company...but not for people with longer legs, at least not long term. Wish I saw this review before I made the jump to purchase. lol

One of my biggest problems with mesh chairs is that they eventually warp and lose support. Of course, padding crumples and loses support over time, too, but at least there's something solid underneath to support your weight once it wears down. There's gotta be a way to replace the mesh or fix it throughout the life of the chair.
@Ahnestly
@Ahnestly 2 жыл бұрын
This makes a lot of sense. I think this is why Herman miller uses a frame and then drops another frame with mesh on it on the Aeron - so they can replace it easily. But its also 6x the price…

Then I noticed after it had already been delivered, that Amazon had a “frequently returned item” notification on the page. Now I’m wondering if it’s being returned because people don’t feel that it’s worth the full price they bought it for, it’s just not a good chair at all, or is defective? It’s still in the box, but yea.. that’s hell of a discount I got it for. I am within the height range you mentioned, but I’m around 180-190ish lbs. At 6', 220lbs, I don't think that mesh would last more than a couple months, a year *at most*. That makes it a hard sell for me at their current direct-sale $399 asking price. At $400 and living on a disability fixed budget, I need to get more than a few months to a year out of it.

One thing I'll give Secretlabs, their support has been nothing but fantastic with sending out replacement parts in Australia. However, I will be replacing my secretlabs chair with an office-style chair, I've read more reviews about how something like the Ergolux Elliot ($299 aud) actually lasts a long time, and supports the weight it claims. I've learned, $$$ and influencer shills don't = quality.

I have pretty close to this chair. Came here looking for more details on adjusting because I had this chair since 2019, I know need to adjust it but I didn't understand what could be adjusted and really, so this video was good for that. Definitely best unlocked for me because locked upright and it almost shoves me off the front of the chair it feels like, and then locked in next position is too far back and wide of an angle. Unlocked with tension fully tightened works best for me. I am 5'7 165-170 lbs so I'd say I fit the range nicely.

Alex, please buy from Crandall. Did you see my videos? HIGHLY recommend. The 12 year warranty is worth paying the little extra and you’re getting highly R&Ded chairs for a fraction of the price!!! Please consider using my links if you purchase - helps the channel a LOT!

Interesting that you have this chair in your "NOUHAUS ERGO3D ERGONOMIC OFFICE CHAIR" google spreedsheet and your are saying its good for 5'4' ~ 6'2 why?
@Ahnestly
@Ahnestly 6 ай бұрын
You gotta watch the video that the spreadsheet is based on! The spreadsheet has categories for where each chair fits, but in the video, I provide specific comments about height/recommendations. I didn't put all the little details in the Spreadsheet, bc then no one would watch the video and algorithm would punish the video. And ironically, that would mean no one would look at the spreadsheet!
@xThree65x
@xThree65x 6 ай бұрын
Perhaps I am confused because I am watching this video because the spreedsheet says its good for between 5'4 and 6'2' yet in the video you say if you're over 6 foot this chair is probably not good for you. So if its not why place it in the spreedsheet under this tab?@@Ahnestly

@@xThree65x i don’t know how else to explain this. Where did you find the spreadsheet? Was it from this video below? The BEST Office and Gaming Chairs 2023-2024 | Ultimate Chair Buying Guide kzfaq.info/get/bejne/jbd1nqiXttmZpqc.html If so, in that video, I created 3 general height categories in that video. That doesn’t mean all the chairs in the height category will fit the ENTIRE range, but are within the height range of that general height category. Like I said, In that video, I give specific notes about height recommendations for each chair. I didn’t do that in the spreadsheet though, bc then what would be the point of the video?

I can see why you’d think that. This video was not sponsored (they didn’t give me money in exchange for a video. They did not have any say or input into my video). I am an affiliate, and as a standard approach to all their affiliates, they give us a discount code to share. I understand you may think I’m just shilling to earn commission, but you can look at my entire body of work to see I’ve never let an affiliate program get in the way of speaking candidly about a product. Affiliate marketing is my way of keeping these high quality reviews free for everyone.
