I have a Bernie Les Paul Junior that I got at a very good Guitar store here in Carlsbad, California and it’s gorgeous. It was made in the 70s and cherry finish. Amazing P90 pick up and the thing flat out rocks Guitar never had heard of Bernie guitars before.

I think the actual story goes that the guys at Fernandes meant the "Gibson" branch of the company to be called _Bunny_ but mispelled the name on the first headstocks and decided to go with _Burny_ instead

I had a 1985 Burny. Mind you I've owned many Gibsons and the Burny was better than all of them except my 2012 Goldtop. Truth is the Burny and the gold top were very much tied in both feel and tone.

And tokai,s. I have had a few Epiphone. Or even jap squires that shredded my custom shop closet classic 66. $ 4500... The jap squire from 87 just simply smoked my custom shop. It's just wood man.. it's all in the hands. ))

@@scottykingdavid I somewhat agree that it is all in the hands except that my hands are not good at all (many injuries), so if a guitar sounds great in my hands it is without a doubt a great instrument that is making ME sound good lol.

How does the Burny fretboard compare to the Gibson? Also, the toggle switch on the Burny is it a Switch Master brand?
@GeorgeVGuitars Жыл бұрын
I have discussed the fretboard in detail in my upcoming review. It is by far the darkest rosewood I have seen but it aint not ebony.

They are different, I wouldn't say one is better than the other. For me - the Gibson, but thats a personal preference.
