Ok. And what? They release it, nVidia comes with a 5090 crushing it. You are gonna whine again. And even if they take the crown, people won't buy it. It's not nVidia, doesn't have DLSS, doesn't have CUDA, it's bad at raytracing (which is not true), and it's AMD anyway. Drivers!!!444 Why would AMD throw out such ridiculous amount of money just to beat them once? RDNA 4 could still very be an awesome lineup if they price it correctly.

AMD's GPU is only competitive in 1080p. It doesn't have the bandwidth for 4k.

Well honestly though, today you can get a RX 7900 XTX for 50% of the price for what I bought my RTX 4090 for. Is it 50% better? I doubt that ;)

Remember few months ago when amd lost to Nvidia in 4090 Lisa Su mentioned that they could build similar gpu to 4090 but it will cost 1500 also that’s why they didn’t do it

I'm pretty sure the 7900 XTX is faster than a 3090 TI. The next 8900 XTX would've needed to compete with the 5090. Not the 4090. And just like the 4090, they'll market the 5090 with games, but it will be targetting the professional user. With the 8900 XTX AMD needed to compete in that professional market.

Technically speaking, the 8000 series AMD GPUs haven't been announced. We've had "leaks" and rumors of what they have done/doing but we truly know nothing. The 8900XTX could very well come to market. AMD isn't stupid, they know the gamers want more power for less so if they can provide last gen performance for half the price or even 75% of the price of what Nvidia was offering at the high end, people will take it Otherwise we would of never had the 7900XTX fighting with the 3090 in performance

Really, for someone shopping for their first discrete gpu card, 4:49 to about 5:12 summarizes why it is such a frustrating exercise. Praying for Intel to work out and deal with their troubles so that there will be a viable third competitor in the “desktop massively parallel computing” market.

I'd be curious to know what the problems were with this GPU before it was canceled. It's also possible AMD is false flagging and will release it later.. but they never released the Navi30 refresh without the die defect that likely would have raised performance of those GPUs... I seriously wonder what AMD is thinking sometimes.

Yea, the GPUs from AMD are nice, but the drivers crash 15 times a day and the GPU can only be as good, in the end, as its drivers.

Tell me you don't use AMD without telling me you don't use it. Never in my life had AMD/ATi drivers crash even 7 times a day. The only time I had a few crashes daily was when my card was overheating.

Lol what? The AMD drivers are rock solid while my nvidia card have had some problems lately ;) Now I am using studio drivers for better stability.
