Thanks for all the Gransport videos Ben - I bought my Gransport (same colour as yours) on Thursday as a result! Am looking forward to getting to know it

Had my Gransport about a year now. A week ago I had a memorable drive cutting short a meeting to drive back 1hr 20mins as my wife went into labour! Already have the Gransport and now I’m a dad, pleased that the Gransport will not be redundant and still usable. I just fitted Larini rear boxes on top of an existing ex pipe and secondary cat removal, it sounds positively filthy! And it’s still a nice sound. The handling especially the keen steering and weight distribution has really impressed me, I’ve had many quicker cars but it’s a lot of fun and like taking a shot of espresso every time I drive it. And it still has some practicality! Great to see you Chanel growing - well done on the great videos. P.S my GS is red, you should hear it!

The GranSport may be a poor man's Ferrari, but there's no denying that it's a special car in its own right. There's no shame in it being the poor man's version, and you might even view it as a compliment.

For me it’s the noise it makes, the drama is from the amazing engine note. Who cares about MPG when the Smiles Per Miles figure is so high!

My brother brought his GranSpprt around today with his three kids in it. Same spec as yours. Lovely thing.

Gransport is a seriously underrated car. Recently did a road trip to see the Total Eclipse here in the states with four of us in the car. Absolutely amazing experience and performance, did everything we asked of it and had a blast driving on the country roads

There's an FF in our tiny village, it often does the school run.

I am the owner of a Mk3 Toyota MR2 that I am happy to call a poor man’s Lotus Elise. I would have to pay at least 5 times more for an Elise that I simply can’t afford so I’m grateful for the MR2 mk3 as it’s a hoot to drive 👍🏻😎.

I thought about 3 cars when deciding on my budget supercar! 1. Porsche 911 (of course) 2. Maserati Gran Turismo 3. Aston Martin DB9 Went to see and drive an Aston first and simply fell in love with it at first drive! Never tried the other two, maybe I was wrong to do that but I’m in love with the Aston. It’s going to Bamford Rose next week for the engine upgrades that Jay Emm had done to yours. Can’t wait for the drive home to NE Scotland!😂😂 Great vid as usual Ben! Cheers!👍❤️

I’ve always seen Maserati as the “poor man’s” Ferrari (Every man’s Ferrari” is probably a fairer phrase), and used it as a genuine compliment, in the same way Alfa Romeo sports cars are poor man’s Maserati’s. I always like the looks of the GranSport, even over the Gran Turismo, and since Ben has had his, it’s even more special and desirable in my eyes, but then I have a thing for a 2+2 GT so maybe I’m biased.

I heard that the transmissions in these Grand sports are troublesome? I drove the standard model with a manual transmission and loved it. I don't think it's available on the grand sport.

Can you feel the difference between the cross- and flatplane configurations? The cross- one should be more naturally balanced. No secondary up down vibration, just some end to end rotational component of a degree dependent on the angle of the V.

Another great video, Ben. I’ve had my GranSport for just on a year now and has been an excellent experience. My kids love riding in it and you made an excellent point about problems just melting away when you’re behind the wheel. I always say to my wife that an early morning blast in the GranSport is my therapy session! I understand you will be moving it on soon but it would be great to do a video on what mods your car has/had and your thoughts on them. I think you mentioned it has a tune and it had DBW previously as well as some exhaust mods so would be great for you to talk through these and how they compare to a stock version. Keep up the great work, Ben!

How tall are you? Love these but worried about headroom

How does the 612 compare performance wise. Obviously more powerful but heavier too? My Gransport feels quick higher up the rev range you run and sometimes you don’t feel it’s that quick until you leave your foot in

Very interesting comparison between this and 612. Sounds like the Maser is the better car, plus pocket the change! Also, those rear interior lights are exactly the same as in the FF😅

I remember you not even considering a Maserati pre-GranTurismo… wonder where your passion started 😉… speed is definitely not what it’s about… acceleration is great, but the engine, the feeling, the noise… it’s visceral… something it’s difficult to explain… (you do it well) if you look back, you had this passion with the 3200… I have the love for the GS as you do… the QP is reminding me of that, great, but 4 doors is weird

Surely the defining feature of the FF is being a 3dr wagon. A poor man's version would be a GR86 - if they'd just extended the roofline and given it the back door it's crying out for!

70% of parts are ferrari and aer normally cheaper , just changed alternator, throttle body and maf ..i do love the fact if it fits an ENZO ,it will prob fitt all the 4200 's😊...but it will make you poor ..if you haven't a spare 1500 squid a year ..but its worth it ..

RS6 is both those cars… and if you tuned will demolish the Italian stable on weekends and on Monday you can turned back to a reasonable MPG daily…

I bought a 4200 gt cambrio corsa few years ago had it only 2-3 months however it was a great car and grows on you , before it could Igriw on me fully I px it for an amg only did that as the car I bought was a very rare model and spec

Saying that Maserati is a poor man Ferrari is not cool, Maserati is a gentleman's car like Aston Martin and Bentley these three brands have James Bond thing to them. I would like to see you do an episode of Bentley Continental Supersport. I´m getting sold on Maserati Gt 3200 but the Bentley Continental Supersport is also super cool.
