It’s mainly the Java script from that year and the the fact there is no more updates either. I have the same problem 😢

I recently re-installed Windows XP (SP3) on my old 2006 PC. I used legacyupdate to get the activation to complete.

This was back when windows didn’t automatically find your product key on the motherboard during installation. This is thankfully no longer the case and it’s hard these days to find a computer that’s not activated unless you install a different version of windows that would need a different key (Windows Pro instead of Home)

That's probably not an AI (voice) but almost certainly just an IVR you were talking to. An AI would be able to craft responses whereas an IVR system only plays back "pre-recorded" messages (which might very well be not recorded and instead generated digitally, however, they are still pre-generated and not made up on the fly).

I can't remember if you can press 1 or 2 and it will select no as well. But when I Activated my Copies of Windows 7 and XP I always used the keypad because I hated talking to the automated voice system too. If I did have to speak the only thing I said was Yes or No usually. 😂

Phone Activation works for XP, too.
