I currently work with programming, and I'm engaged in a personal project involving Arduino. With it, I'm able to monitor several parameters: pH, TDS, turbidity, temperature, aquarium light schedule, and its intensity (adjusted according to sunrise and sunset in my geolocation). Additionally, I've implemented CO2 control based on sunrise and sunset timings. All of this data is integrated with a Telegram bot, which notifies me if any parameters deviate from the standard range. Furthermore, I can interact with the bot to retrieve real-time data. My next objective is to incorporate a water level sensor for automatic water replenishment.

This device is pretty handy looking. I don't have one but your list of pros and cons is pretty solid. Especially from a fresh vs salt POV. Tip Top editing as usual as well! 😍

It's an interesting concept, but I just want it more focused on freshwater rather than a combination Glad you enjoyed my editing! I felt left it wasn't up to standard compared to the usual

I love that it could do all those but SG or EC I never thought of measuring for them lol. To be honest I should measure my water but generally I let my fish tell me. I probably should though. As usual you explained everything well and out it in terms that I didn't need a PHD to understand. I agree with you on the changes that you would like to be made.. Excellent job Full view as always my friend

Yeah, I never knew what SG and EC were before they contacted me. I also don't really test my water unless the plants are not looking great.

There are no shortcuts. Your best course of action is to know what your readings are, educate yourself as to why, and obtain the knowledge which allows you to come to a conclusion. Id never rely on something like this.

It's OK for what it is. Just curious, what do you think is wrong with it apart from the ones that I mentioned in the video?

Can you elaborate on that? I'm a little confused by what you mean. Test strips, liquid tests, and this, are ways to obtain water parameter readings. From there, you would look into the meaning behind these values and determine whether it's ideal or not. The part where I'm confused is that I'm unsure if you're talking more about the accuracy of testing methodology or something else entirely.

i used it for 3 months. and now its all out of calibration. i try to calibrate it following their instructions but it is always off. 7ph shows up at 6.4 for example. i have 2 of these and both show different numbers in the same aquarium. Now i am not sure which one is correct. so i go back to liquid tester to see where i am at. this gets very confusing.@@TropiscapeAquatics

How do you calibrate the probes?

The probes come pre-calibrated and lasts for 6 months. There are packets for pH calibration that are included as well. Furthermore, if you have more accurate tests, you can simply set the correct readings in the settings on the monitor. There are instructions on how to calibrate the probe as well that are included in the manual

it not game changer if there no international iot intergration. if it support tuya iot framework. we can use it to control co2 or dosing . but sadly this product dont have.

Yeah, that's one of the downsides of something like this. Considering it already uses 2.5Ghz Wi-Fi, there's a possibility that it could be modified to do such a thing

@@TropiscapeAquatics their chinese local version " ibowl" has iot but. it within their local Huawei AI life app. not very useful in term of international use. hope they can make a tuya or ewelink fw.
