I was pretty sure during the race, Jett was monitoring, very coyly, how close Tomac was so he could bust out tricks or not. He seemed to be very aware of not letting the other riders see where he was faster. He would just tighten up and do what they were all doing better when needed, which says something about where he's at. There were a few places he had subtle tricks to gain time in those areas. Conversely, watch Tomac during this time, and he is mimicking Jett big time.

I know the apex isn't really a thing in super/motocross, BUT it's still a point that signifies the mid point of a turn, and if you have to split a turn into a braking and acceleration zone, is the latter half NOT the priority flow for accelerating traffic? I'm getting real academic here, but that's the way I see it, a right of way issue. I get all the arguments for how people ride and what they do, but in a "non passing" maneuver like this, your angle should never be that outrageous into the acceleration zone, as an outsider that's my opinion, as someone who watches all kinds of motorsports.
