It was a true JOY to meet you and your amazing kids at the Ark Encounter and all because of you recognizing that I was wearing the Scapular! God is good! Catholics representing! 🙏🏼🩵

Our parish in Australia 🇦🇺 is going through a revival. We just had a wonderful fete. So good to see the see the whole community come together. We also do cuppas after alternate masses. We have two youth groups. Children's liturgies. It's all coming together. 🎉

This is a great, simple thing to do that everyone can do. I've had the same experience when talking to other people after mass. If we are brothers and sisters in Christ we should know each others names. Great video.

Well said. Yes, it is simple and can make a big difference’s

Exactly! We need a sense of community and family in our churches! Are you based around the SoCal area? I go to sts. Peter and Paul usually and maybe we could meet up there!

Yah our priest always scolds us (just kidding) on meeting others...we do a potluck the 1st Sundays of every month after the last mass. It's been successful on talking to newcomers and especially funny on how they always ask after mass "is this a roman catholic church?" because were a Personal Ordinariate of the Chair of St. Peter which we have the Eucharistic practice of intinction (you can ONLY receive Holy Communion on the tongue and kneeling) and he faces the altar plus it's in English. People get confused but it's a beautiful mass.

Good to hear! Potlucks are a great way to do that. I love the ordinariate!

I AGREE WE SHOULD BE MORE WELCOMING. HOWEVER, NO ONE SHOULD BE SOCIALIZING INSIDE THE CHURCH. YOU NEED TO TAKE IT OUTSIDE THE CHURCH. IT IS DISRESPECTFUL TO TALK & SOCIALIZE IN THE PRESENCE OF THE EUCHARIST. TAKE IT OUTSIDE THE CHURCH & HAVE A WONDERFUL TIME SOCIALIZING WITH ONE ANOTHER. God Bless.

Yes, talk outside of church. Definitely agree!

That is a given.. I also cringe inside when clapping at the end of Mass for the cantor.. ugh..its not a performance.. After Mass outside, we are visiting with all the families, kids running around, meeting people is a beautiful thing.. 📿🙏

We can't wait for others. We must do it ourselves. And thats ok . If we take initiative so will others and the parish will blossom. Merry Christmas.@@TheJoyoftheFaith I

How true. It’s funny but sad. It’s so bad at My parish that the pastor had to say something about at mass recently. There were a couple of near accidents in the parking lot.

Wow! That is crazy! It is sad but Jesus can work through us

Love it Rachel! Also, if you’d every like me to come speak to your parish feel free to email me at thejoyofthefaith@gmail.com
Thank you! When I first saw your video regarding that, my husband had just returned home from a men's conference in our diocese and I was thinking what a blessing it would be to have you as a speaker at some point. What a great way to reach even more people!@@TheJoyoftheFaith

Ray, is there anyone you could put me in touch with who could give me guidance with the necessities and mechanics of putting together and running a perpetual adoration chapel, as well as approaching the diocese with a proposal? It looks I will be purchasing a home in Delaware later this winter, and that entire state, apart from Wilmington at the northern tip, is a barren wasteland for Catholicism generally, let alone traditional Catholicism. So I'm hoping to buy something that can be converted into a chapel as well. I'm going to go conquer Delaware for the Lord, lol. I promised Him I will do this if He comes through with the home there. Plus, it wouldn't be much of a home without Him.

@@lilyw.719 I will pray for you!! We have Perpetual Adoration at our Parish at St Martin De Porres Catholic Church in Yorba Linda, California.. They have an awesome system in place... You may try to reach out to them to see how they logistically manage it for 24 hour 7 days a week.. God Bless You! 📿🙏

Our 'little old ladies' stay to chat, and that is about it. The other families with young children usually quickly depart. Unfortunately, due to the limited number of priests at our parish, the priest is only able to say hello quickly after mass and must be on his way to a different church to say mass soon after. It's different from when I was growing up, but I think intentionally beginning those conversations after mass is great way to strengthen our church family. Thank you for the video!
