Great reviews. As a 25-year Maryland resident, I understand why you find the sandwich under-seasoned/under-flavored. In Maryland, a strong value is placed on "letting the crab speak for itself" in crab cakes. The differences among very highly regarded crab cakes among Marylanders are generally very subtle (people argue to the death about whether plain bread crumbs or crushed saltines make a better binder, and a tablespoon of dijon mustard in a pound of crab is a controversial ingredient). It's not surprising that someone who hasn't spent decades worrying about those tiny details might find a particular crab-forward crab cake sandwich overrated when that same sandwich is a favorite among people from Maryland. Man I hope you get a legit Maryland Crab Cake fam. It’s not just the lump crab in it but it’s also the other stuff that it’s made with too. Never had one from there but if you don’t taste anything else other than just the lump and butter they not making it how it’s supposed to be made no matter how long they’ve been doing it.

I was just there visiting my mom last week. She can literally walk there. And I totally agree that the crabcakes need more old bay on them. I was shaking the heck out of old bay to get it right but it have been baked in the meat for flavor. I grew up on the Eastern shore and always had seasoned crabs.

Chime needs his own sauce. He always enhances his food with some kind of sauce.

In MD crab cakes the Crab meat is the seasoning... That's why there's not a lot of filler and it cost 56 dollars.

I am a 45 year Maryland Resident born and raised. I can tell you that $56 for one Crab Cake is pure robbery. I have eaten Crab cakes all over the state of MD and the most I have ever paid for true Broiled MD Crab Cakes was $45 and that was for 2 huge lump crab cakes, not 1.
