WTF how did I miss this one?!! If a chiming clock has wound down before finished striking it's hour when it's rewound or pendulum manually swung it will chime the hour it didn't finish despite where the hands are past the hour. I grew up with these clocks but old ones and have experienced them doing this many times even just with floorboards shifting on being walked past etc, is eerie though when it happens. I used to have a set of those little monks in s&p etc were so cute

Just had a great idea.. Why don't you carry some spare batteries incase you find an item that requires them? Tape player and cassette, toys etc.. Even for Andy's torch 😂

Andy's torch requires too many Spares. If they also brought spare batteries for the idea you suggested they'd need a third person with them to carry the batteries as it would be a backpack full 🤣

We have a grandfather clock and grandmother clock and both sometimes go out of sink and chime wherever they want 😂 so it could be because it’s not been set recently and it’s now out of sink and doing it every now and then 😂 and they do go off every hour and half hour 💚 15:14

The hand on that clock, at the beginning of the video, was between the 4 and the 5. After it went off, that hand was between the 5 and the 6. So, it basically moved by an hour. 😊

Lmbo 😂 that’s not a flash drive, it’s an extension for charging the old way. (Oh personally, I’ve got loads of CDs, dvds [150k + movies] old film 🎞, and the old huge laser discs with working disc player from 1978 😂 but there is nothing better than the old vinyl records. I did have an 8 track player but I gave it to my brother and he wanted in his car 🤦‍♀️). This was a dream house to search through, you guys are lucky to see all the neat stuff in there, and those clocks were horrendous... oh and the laughs over the heat pulse message machine, you two crack me up. Lastly, the painting with the pub, looks like it was from across the pond with the cowboy either from Boston or NY? But looks like the owners were world travelers. 👍🍻

Seconds hands appeared in the 15th century on German clocks and reappeared intermittently for the next few centuries but didn't become common until the 18th century. And then they were mainly featured on pocket watches and specialized scientific clocks rather than common clocks

As for the clock chiming and it not being on the hour - maybe the hand was showing the wrong position but the clock was on the hour. plus clocks can sometimes chime every quarter hour.

The glass piece on the round table you called a trumpet is an Epergne, they were filled with sauces / condiments, and used on Victorian dining tables. The one you filmed is a single with a bowl and pedestal and the bowl would be filled with meats or crackers, all depends on the condiment used. I have a 3 Trumpet Epergne; I collect antique glass and can tell you that the Epergne you found could fetch 300 dollars easily. Stay safe guys.

Ardwick! Just down t'road from me. We used to do what you're doing in the 70s in the houses in Ardwick when they were doing the slum clearance. Some people left their whole lives behind in those houses to get demolished 😢

The guy in the picture, second one from left, ( massive hair) looks just like my grandfather Anthony. He was Austrian and came to the U.S. in 1912. Oh I want to let you know that I am one of the very few that have cassettes, dvds, cds and albums.

My sister had a spirit in her house. She was told to sweep a coconut through the whole home and throw it out. The window and shut it fast and the spirit will be gone.

Did you notice how both of those clocks in the hall are stopped at the same time? But after you heard the clock chime the clock nearest the front door had moved from between 4 and 5 to between 5 and 6!
