The Kid fresh frozen beef meatballs sold at Kroger are very good tasting. This is another crockpot winner! I added some low fat ricotta cheese and cooked a little longer as my crockpot is older. Thank you for your delicious and easy crockpot recipes 😊

Trying for more flavor. Instead of water that’s ok though!
@emmel4fun6 ай бұрын
It needs it to cook the stuff properly, especially the pasta. The consistency came out good because the tortellini absorbed the liquid. If it had been cooked pasta she wouldn't have needed it.
@recoveringsoul7556 ай бұрын
I think for the pasta too. Those didn't look like frozen tortellini which is usually the kind I get. They didn't look dried either. What would you call that? And where in the store would I find it? Refrigerator section? Now if she cooked the pasta separately she could just do meatballs in sauce and add them together later. Any kind of pasta. Ravioli, angel hair, fettuccine, manicotti etc
@emmel4fun6 ай бұрын
@@recoveringsoul755 Yes, it's "fresh" pasta. They keep it in the refrigerator section and you cook it the way you would cook dry pasta but it takes less time.

I could use some advice from commenters here. I like the whole thought of this recipe, looks great. Two questions: Could anyone recommend a frozen meatball brand that they rate higher than others? Also, if I made my own meatballs, would I freeze them first and then proceed with this recipe? I’m sure my husband would like this, but I don’t think he “loves” the last brand I used whatever it was. I had never tried frozen meatballs before, but the shortcut for another recipe was nice to have. Suggestions? Thanks up front. ♥️🏈🇺🇸
@Linda-in9ns6 ай бұрын
Hello yes you can make up your meatballs, then freeze them and take out what you need. Then make your meal. I have tried many frozen brand meatballs and never liked any of them. I always make my own quick and easy! And my family and friends love them. 👍😀

@@user-gs7ov3os6p True. I’ll just take a separate day to make a bunch and freeze them. Some for this recipe and whenever I want them for another. My husband NEVER complains about anything I have ever made in 37+ years, but I could tell by his reaction they were not great. Luckily it wasn’t a big recipe. Don’t like to waste food. Thanks for all the responses! 👍♥️🏈🇺🇸

I would fry off those meatballs first to add flavour and get rid of the excess fat in the meat. I would love to know how many you're cooking for as you always make such large amounts of food.

Does this girl actually ever do any meal prep, or is it all about packaged stuff? I am also certain that with a little more effort she could make it even more expensive.

You have some great creativity when it comes to your recipes yet i encourage you to always try and make your meatballs and meat recipes in general with your own hands so you know what is in it. The corporations that sell these premade items dont care what is unhealthy in their products.

Everything is either, frozen or store box. Convenient….yes; easy….yes, but that’s not cooking. And the amount of sodium brake all limits 😱. Once in a while is ok. But if I’m going to eat such an unhealthy meal, I rather go to a fast food.
