Nice practice routine. Had a player at a tournament give me a helpful tip that elevated his MPR quickly. He said once he just started aiming for the large section on a number, his MPR shot up as he was getting more 3.0 MPR rounds during tournament play. Less pressure and he noted the spray would hit some doubles and triples. This is probably better advice for those just getting up to the 2 MPR range.

Big tip if you wanna be more consistent! above all first you need to work on your follow through, from your videos you are letting go of the dart too early and kind of trying to float the dart into the segments, this will feel uncomfortable and not natural this is what's causing too many wayward darts. Imagine your arm is a mechanical motion 1.aim keeping that elbow up 2. pull back in a straight line. 3. throw push the dart forward in that same straight line you pulled it back from letting you arm extend fully out keeping your elbow up it has to be at the same height from the body every throw and all through out the motion of the you. you should be able to keep you grouping much closer once you develop your follow through allowing each dart to have the same amount of velocity and trajectory. You already have a talent for darts and i imagine you will beat the average dart player but if you give this advice a go I predict you will start hitting even better averages my friend. anyways enjoyed the video and keep chucking :)

I've been playing darts about8 months, I've never played soft tip. I was wondering, what are the main differences (apart from the tips) and why would one be chosen over the other?

Soft tip tends to be a higher scoring game. Cricket is the biggest game in soft tip and the scoring can be really high and there’s a lot of strategy in it. Where with steel tip the most played game is 501. Even though the segments are bigger in Soft tip it has its difficulties with having to hit more numbers to keep up. Both steel and soft have their own set of skills to be able to compete

Absolutely… and my steel tip game is getting easier and easier with each week of practicing 3x a week… I’m pleasantly surprised !!

@@IronmanDarts I really like that you’re throwing in some steel tip videos. I’ve been saying for a while that it’s really becoming more popular here in the states. Especially with the PDC hosting more tournaments here and also with their KZfaq videos and DAZN. I was supposed to go to New York for the US Championship but my trip fell through. Gonna try to go again next year and/or to the Vegas tournament. I miss the old ESPN days when they used to have it on. I feel like the PDC really is trying to capitalize on the market here. Sorry for the long reply but I really do love the steel tip and the PDC lol
