The only question is whether we Indian can afford that decent life with a fancy car etc, as for example an Indian with household monthly income of only Rs 25,000 ($300) falls within top 10% of the population (annual periodic labor survey, Govt Of India), 40% Indian kids are malnourished due to lack of nutrition (as of 2019) and merely ~ 7% Indian citizens has a proper “real” job (3% Govt + 4% Private) (i,e a job that Indian Govt count as a job that pays some benefit), rest just do something or whatever. So that decent life is great for dreaming but in reality it is pretty much nothing but illusion !!

@@honeysup You are somewhat correct. Now, could you please present stats about average US household income, debt, drug problems, obesity etc. ? The point I was trying to make is that there are plenty of opportunities in India unlike the past. Theoretically, there are many points to compare which can be misleading in the true sense of things. There are pros and cons of wherever you live. You need to figure out what works for yourself. For example, a friend of mine was stabbed multiple times in US while doing his student job, but still he stayed. That was his choice. He is doing well there and now it's been 22 years.

I have the exact same feeling. I grew up in North America.. basically Canada and U.S. I feel so lonely. I'm surrounded by white people. Don't have any friends that I can hang out with. I'd totally be your friend. Too bad I don't meet anyone like me

Don't try to mix with Indian people overseas. You will come up against a mindset that is based on competitive appropriation. Indians are lost in any society. You have to take the best and leave the rest. Going back to India is impossible.

Agree with you in India I saw kids over eighteen still depending on parents for lot of things that they can do by themselves and make decisions even for the carrier they have to choose from getting in colleges also tougher then in USA at in India because of cast and creeds there’s always advantages and disadvantages after I spent same amount of years in both places I found USA has more advantages then in India

From your own culture My Canadian born, professional daughter is doing just fine in California, Silicon Valley; took up US citizenship in June 23. You'll be fine! America is fabulous and fantastic! @@sandhyasheth3895 Yes, US citizens staying abroad has to pay us taxes as well along with Indian taxes. Yes social security abroad also is guaranteed.

Loneliness is the worst thing and family is the best thing. My father was smart, earned money, bought some property's. Saved money, took early retirement and moved back. Now living well among friends and family.

Completely disagree with you. Superiority complex and privilege is widely prevalent over here especially among the immigration officials. Doesn't matter how much they are paid they act like they are above all the immigrants that pass through them. We can only take solace that once we start working we're going to make way more money than them. Hopefully karma will pay a visit to those officials.

Live here for a few decades and you will understand that these officials are humans just like you & me. They probably have never gone abroad themselves and don't make 100K like you all. I find more arrogance in an India state Government office than in US immigration - that too after paying the bribe. Have you been to an RTO office (Indian DMV)? You will see arrogance personified - to everybody except ministers.

@@rohanutep81 Good question but weather is not just one of the things that can stress you out. Many people tend to find one thing or another to put up with the life in US in the beginning. For you it was weather - even for me weather was the first thing so I decided to live in Texas - but for others it could be family bonding, living condition, making friends etc. Some hide it and people like you express it meticulously. Nevertheless, compared to many other countries, US is a place where one can earn well and have good lifestyle. Good luck...
