My friends and I stayed in this beautiful cabin located at www.haliburtonforest.com/
We had an amazing trip despite all the things that went wrong.
Looking forward to going back, catching some fish and hopefully getting some better weather!

I suffered from almost deadly head injury last year (90% chance of dying) half of my skull was broken to pieces, brain injury, eye injury and low chances of surviving it, speaking, understanding and remembering places, people, etc... I was quite told I should be "disabled" and maybe even paralyzed... I survived, my skull, brain and eye was miraculously "healed" and fixed by amazing doctors. I could not walk for the first 2 weeks after coming out of 2 weeks being in a coma. I could not walk as all what happened on the day of the accident, gave me small chances of even not being paralzyed. It took me 2 months to partially recover, then one more eye surgery and letting my brain to properly recover... I do not remember a moment of the accident as I lost pratically 2 weeks (being in a coma) of the memory starting around 10 - 20 mins before accident, as if those worst moments somehow were removed from my brain. I suffer not from a physical issues, but more from mental issues, not because of the accident, but because of the system I am living in, have not received any insurance (more than a year already passed), got prohibition to drive a car (by the government) until it will be clearly proven I can see well enough to not cause any hazard to anyone or myself. I lost my car and I lost my work, I lost pretty much everything, friends I knew, haven't seen them for practically a year and 2 months, even though they live very close to me. Nevermind, I almost died but did not die and I do hope my life will turn to some amazing way I will be back to happy life when 2021 was one of the happiest ones, and 2022 pretty much gone because of the accident and even this year did not bring anything yet "positive" but actually opposite, most what happened after my accident pretty much put me to the lowest "level" of my life since I was born. Still hoping and fighting inside of me to hope for the better to come, to enjoy life again and to live somehow normal life to the last breath.

When you have smoke alarms go off, you have to improve the ventilation which means open all the doors and windows that you can until they stop. And for future reference, try doing that during or before you cook.

Glad to see you doing better, and having fun with your friends. It's good to take care not to overdo things that strain your brain for a while, letting it heal up well by doing mentally restful things. From personal experience, learning for college exams while concussed can lead to another year of headaches, until I took a year off from studying, doing practical things instead, and allowed my brain enough recovery time to get rid of the headaches before starting more studying. I'd say you are doing the right things to help yourself recover!

Nothing like an excursion with good friends. My Dad never fished so I wasn't exposed to it much. But I did go on a handful of deep sea fishing trips which was fun. My Dad introduced me to golf as a young person and I'm grateful for that. Been playing all my life and I'm old. So a long time. Ha. You look like you're feeling better which is good to see. Good video. 👍

Cmon Emily!! You had a GREAT situation!! A little rain, no fish, so what!! You had good friends, in beautiful surroundings, and I think, wonderful experiences!! Sounds like a winner to me. AND you kept the open side of the canoe on top!! I have great difficulty with that myself. For me they seem to work best with that part IN the water. And the ONLY was I can get back IN a canoe, is at a dock or shore. I dunno girl, you trip made me wanna be there. Sure looked good Bless you Emily..

Any day on the lake is a great day, despite whether you catch something. It is so wonderful to see the younger folks enjoy nature. I'm a Gen Xer, and we need to stop stereotyping. I love asparagus; I was eyeballing that. Gens M and Z are just as hardworking as any other. When you realize life is fleeting and we only have so much time on this rock, Golf and fishing are similar; you may be horrible at them, but they are so much fun. Get out there and enjoy Mother Earth; moments like this are why not spending time on social media compared to real life is so important. Life isn't definite; once you realize this and deal with it, it will be easier for you. I would love to spend a week with your dad to learn from him and help him out, as he has inspired me.

Nice video! Very good to see you spending time with your sister and friends - and that your feeling so much better! Fantastic youre healing from the accident. It simply takes time and taking the necessary medical precautions. You'll find more improvements over time. Just remember to be careful, not to reinjure yourself and take it slow. I hope you take protections with you while hiking, fishing - more than just bear spray, best to be prepared. Amazing video and videography! Btw, youll find fish activity greatly slows down immediately after a good rain due to great temperature changes which slows fish activity and runoff food (worms, insects) increases so theyre less hungry and less interested to bite. Theyll hang mostly close to the banks, close to run off food. Shooting watch the recoil of the gun, jerking your brain, remember its still bruised and healing. Best wishes.
