I'm pretty sure that some people may judge him for letting his yard get like that, but it takes a lot of money and work to keep up any property. Not everyone has $300 for a half decent pressure washer and the health to do this. or $300 for a half decent power and another $300 for a leaf blower and so on. And as a now 'older' woman I know exactly how hard this kind of work can be! I'm still trying to catch up the last two years worth of projects. Won't talk about lumber prices and the price for something as simple as a box of nails.

As a disabled person, my heart feels so full and warm watching you help this person. Kindness and compassion like this will be remembered for a lifetime, and the impact of an action that's simple to you will be huge for them. I can remember the kind acts people did for me over my life, and they're something I look at fondly when I feel low. Even things people did for me when I was a small child, I remember. Even when I never knew their names, or we only knew one another for that short act, I still think of them. For all I know, they've long since forgotten me. But even if that's true, that doesn't mean that what they did didn't, and doesn't, still bring light to my life.

My dad had leukemia a couple years ago and we realized something was wrong when he couldn't take care of his yard because that's something he always did. He's in remission now but recognizing that his unkempt yard was due to health issues was critical in getting him to the hospital earlier and because we got him in fast, he was able to get the last spot in an experimental drug study that ultimately saved his life but he was in the hospital for months. We took care of his yard during that time. But to all the folks judging these folks with wild yards... just don't. You don't know their story. Few people want it to be that way. Thanks for helping this guy out, @The Boring Channel. You're a kind person.
