Omg! This game was my childhood and one my earliest contacts with Star Wars. I was so scared by that alien I started skipping that particular cutscene! Its head even looks like a human skull from the front... Very glad to see there's a bit of lore for it, and it's quite interesting!

when i first saw that thing back in the day on my Windows 98 computer, i just thought that he was the chancellor for Malastare, i didn't have a strategy guide growing up, so i just assumed the guy was decent, though a little disheveled, now, thanks to that bit of lore i know that the creepy thing from one of my favorite childhood PC games is actually a sleep paralysis demon incarnate, fun :3

I will say. I loved pod racer. My brother friend had one and he had this and KI on it. I would play so they could bet drugs against each other. Yeah. Great childhood. Either way. I was pretty good at KI and Pod Racer. My brother friend would always lose cause he was always high as a kite. I did eventually buy Pod Racer for PC after I wanted some of the cut. Welcome to being a kid in my poor area. LoL

There's no mention at all of Nugtosh in the Nintendo strategy guide, according to a post in an old thread at starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Forum:KB:Malastarian_species_from_Epsidoe_I_Racer - only in the Prima guide. I once searched for info on this alien - which apparently is sentient, as it apparently communicated when promising not to sabotage the track in exchange for getting to make an appearance at the start of every race - but back then I got sort of sidetracked into a dead end, when someone implied the creature was "from Epsidio Wan"; Yeah... that planet's missing from the archives, too, and no mention in the lore databanks of any creatures from there, either. If I ever find the guy who pulled that one on me (as I realized too late, obviously bastardizing the title 'Episode I') I'll make him wish that he was Maul and I was Obi Wan.
