DIY Magnetic Tumbler sized for a typically sized 5 gallon bucket. Uses four 2”x2”x1/2” N52 Neodymium (rare earth) magnets, 1/3 hp variable speed DC motor, CNC cut plywood magnet mounting disc, 5/8” to 1/2” arbor adapter for motor shaft, and a heavy cast iron, previously discarded, table saw top, a few screws and a few pieces of 1/8” aluminum plate.
The magnetic tumbler or magnetic polisher has many uses.

At the moment I'm building a magnetic polisher too for jewellery and maybe small art pieces but I'm really struggling with deciding on a suitable motor (desktop/workbench model size) but I don't want to over power it (and spend more than I have to) but certainly not underpower it. Have you got any suggestions on RPM and maybe motor power?

A friend loaned me the Dc motor . I think its 1600 RPM? Faster seems better.

Stainless steel pins. Using this to “polish” some cold castings. Urethane resin with different metal powders. Aluminum, bronze, brass, steel.

Not selling the magnets. Look on KandJ magnetics. You’ll find everything you need there.
