At 62, my swing has never been more predictable. I hit a mostly straight ball, with ball marks in the center of the club. However, weak distance. I’ve watched mosh all the videos and today I applied a few of the movements, like allowing more vertical movement in the backswing then leaning into the left side so I could pop up through impact. That added distance. What really blew me away was adding the lesson from this video. Having the feeling of covering the ball with my right hand, like I’m hitting a smash forehand in ping pong. OMG…. I wasn’t thinking about anything except using my right hand like I’m hitting that smash to the right corner of the table. Brilliant. As it turns out the left hand can’t help but bow with the knuckles down when the right hand is bent back palm down. Beautiful little tight draw, smoked. Marcus, this is amazing information and I really appreciate all the videos, this one in particular. Cheers Mate 👊

wow this released my release woes. I'm a 13 handicap and today had a round of 5 over despite this new movement throwing off my short game a wee bit with chips and pitches coming up short (face contact issue at slower speed) , will need more adaptation. Fun hitting every GIR most importantly 2 massive drives splitting the fairway. Super excieted. I was frustrated for a long time with my wrist movement and had given up thiniking about it in the round and was managing with whatever just happened naturally forever worrying about the injury it may cause. The wrist alley is a blind and dark one folks!! Thanks Marcus for bearing the torch on the right path. Again cant thank you enough. Wonderful explanation from the guru cleared up all doubts and the proof happened in the pudding. (I did take a mulligan on the very first shot of the round because I was so apprehensive of this release and wasnt quite committed) Never felt that kind of compression before consistently, only accidental at times)

Tremendous explanation of clubface control and path using the “club head” and “cell phone” as examples of what is good and what isn’t. I’ve used a ping pong paddle and a tennis racquet before to explain what your message is, love your presentation!

Thanks for the reminder!! I have a few club heads. I always go through this with anyone who says “I’m just learning to play.” Have them hold it and go through this is WHY the ball goes left, right, and straight, then high, medium and low. I may hang it on the bag next round to remind ME!!!

Terrific video! It is amazing what your body automatically starts to do just by simplyfying the wrist, face, and path movements with intention.

I've not heard this type of explanation for club face control. I struggle to know where the club face is, so I'll definitely give this a try at the range.

This is the exact problem I've been struggling with at the range. Today I will try micro swings. My contact is getting better but it's either pushed straight right or pulled straight left. Hopefully this thought process will help with my release. Once again Marcus, you simplify while I try to complicate😁

Here's the thing... Since being a kid I've played all sports left handed, Tennis, Cricket batting and bowling, Darts Snooker , Ten pin bowling etc. I play golf right handed mainly because when I was a boy my grandad had right handed clubs. So I swing right handed but am left side dominant. I played a lot of football and tennis to a high level and through the coaches in both sports began to understand more about bio mechanics and movement. When I think about what my body does when I throw a Frisbee left handed or a left handed top spin back hand in tennis, I step forward with my left foot, left knee flexes, left shoulder goes down, left arm goes back and behind me, then I swing low to high and extend up on the way through. Sounds like a right handed draw golf swing which is my natural shot shape. However, I sometimes struggle in golf with getting the strike every time. So a thin will have a slight right to left as will a slight fat. I play on 11 and been as low as 8 and when I playing well and making putts break 80 What really clicked with me in this video was holding the mobile phone in my left hand with the screen facing me as if "reading a text" then taking it back halfway with the screen still facing me, back to impact with the screen still facing me and through to release with screen still facing me!! Magical👏👏 I now realise the reason why my handicap went up from 8 when I was playing naturally ,to 14 was I became to technical and focused on " swing positions" and was focused on playing golf swing, not playing golf Your videos based on movements have made a massive difference to my mentality and reminded me of what I was coached in tennis a football. My handicap is back in the right direction again thanks to your coaching style and bio mechanics science. Keep up the great work👏 Cheers to all at GRF Golf and if you ever get to south east Spain I will be there for some more coaching 😀

I would say one can get this feel by separation in the swing. Feeling like the mass of the club stays up as the body opens. Club face kinda does this automatically

Marcus , When I do this move , like throwing a ball on the ground ,. I feel with the handle my right thumb meaty pad is applying pressure on the top of the left thumb . Through the swing. Release. Does this sound right ? Yes or No .

Yes, it can sometimes leave the grip a Mickelson/Singh etc after it has been torqued for face rotation.

You get that question every day? You must be working with better players. Most don't even have a concept for clubhead and clubface awareness.

Boy have things changed. Why did they ever teach us to take the hands OUT of the swing. It's a sport which you use your hands to move a club to hit a ball. They really screwed us up 40 years ago.
