I had it with Zeus cast and was doing just over 800 damage on each strike... I didnt even put atemis' keepsake for last zone cause I wasnt going for speed and I knew it would be overkill af. I love me some golden rule, can suck getting the RNG for it tho :P Edit: I also had around 7100 gold, and an epic zeus cast (no poms). With dmg buffs applying to the original cast plus 710 damage from golden rule, I know see why it did so much XD. Im sad cause i tried to recreate it with cyclone sprint but learned it does not apply to sprint dmg, might still work with cyclone cast lol.

You can also use faster enemies and more health fears too for more difficulty which is not restrictive, I think.

Personally, I really don't like custom difficulty settings. It feels bad choosing the way your run is going to be worse and usually you try to take ones that aren't going to affect you anyway or you have to take things which make the run less fun like you said. I just want the devs to define the challenge and then let me figure out how to overcome it.

@@f3nn3lgaming i think best boon kinda vary per weapon/aspect. Zeus for example is extremely strong for Aspect of Momus staff. you'd be crazy to not choose him. the blitz has insane synergy with double casting omega's. Poseidon+Appolo is still best way to play Dagger because of two reasons. 1) Poseidon hit-on has extreme synergy with daggers weakness in clearing and high damage and Appolo's boon where if your dazed, you can backstab enemy for 100% damage is practically made for Dagger. +legendary double casting the dagger throw for aspect of pan is no brainer. For torches, Hestia is by far best user for Torches. Pyre technique and Primary burn is literally only two boon needed to win. The rest doesn't even matter. Air quality for scorch is nice side bonus. everything else is meaningless. Demester duo for fire extinquisher doesn't really matter as long you pomming pyre technique. Axe: Axe is best user of Hitch in this current patch. Engagement ring on axe clears every room. even rolling it on special is sufficient for most of the run. Offensive boon are pretty subjective. there is like many ways to build it. "Chain reaction" which is Hephaestus+Hestia duo is one way to build axe with legendary Hephaestus boon. Another way to play axe is Aphrodite's primary attack and going for her legendary. The other way is to pick Demester and go for like Spin to win Freeze build with Weed killer, Aim for Appolo's legendary on special, Lucid gain and any of those connecting boons. I hate playing skull so i have no real builds with it. What I like to do with Skull is build cast damage. I always aim to get Ionic gain mana boon as opening or Zeus cast. After that, I aim to get Zeus+Demester's Hail storm duo boon. Weed killer is good for omega attack. After that, I go for Glorious disaster and attempt to get Appolo's legendary. that's ideal build path for me on skull but getting those boon is difficult. I also prefer to spam omega primary at range over what most people do with skull which is use Aspect of Medea and roll for that broken Possessing Array Hammer, Often opt for Aphrodite's attack boon.

No, golden rule applies a flat amount of damage that scales with your gold. So it adds a flat amount on every hit like Poseidon's attack/spec. This damage cannot be increased through other sources(maybe some arcana) but it can crit

According to everything I can find, it's always been a percentage boost, so I have no idea where you're getting that. (Edit) Hold on, no, I know where you got that, that's how Hoarding Slash works in the first game. Did you just assume that it was the same and correct someone else based on that assumption?

Yeah, it applies Hirch to any enemies in the circle, even if they've already spawned.

Can you be more specific? I basically do that every run as is unless I want to test something else out.

@@Haelian When I typed this you was on the final area and was taking the express route, which makes complete sense for speed, similarly on the cerb area you was doing what you needed to do to open the doors, again makes sense for speed. This run you was incredibly strong, but what I'm curious is how much further can that be pushed, what is the absolute highest raw damage you can do in a run, regardless of speed.

@@shaun1705 I hear ya then, I'm sure we'll revisit the gold record some day (we have a video here already getting way more gold but it was before patch 3).

It pauses the timer.

To be more specific than the other two replies, the timer vow (aka you have 9/7/5 minutes to clear each zone, any leftover time is added to the timer for the rest of the run) pauses when you pause the game but whatever is not hidden by the UI is visible so you can check stuff like exits and think without losing time.
