I love that even though this mod is aimed towards players with a higher skill level, they still slowed down attacks like the Noble’s frame 1 belly push, as if even they’re like “come on.”

I like that the only map they really seemed confident to edit the geometry on was Farum Azula, since everything’s a bunch of floating ruins anyway.

Great idea putting the whetstone in the starting area. I had to have watched 3 or more playthroughs from people that were hours and hours into their run and couldn't upgrade because they never bothered to search the basement.

This mod gave me real reasons to go to places I havent gone to in hundreds of hours. Definitely an amazing groundwork and cant imagine what itll look like in a year or two.

At high RLs Nihil is absolutely broken. Its AOE is the entire area you’re in and also through walls, and the posture damage is insane. Also if you pair it with the new talisman that regenerates HP/ FP on kill you can basically spam it indefinitely in crowded areas.

Some SFX need to be toned down, but if that Gideon fight is any indication, Convergence is going to be a household name once again. I especially liked how that shield was used. FromSoftware is a bit too nice with enemies never blocking and that instance works for the insane spell-fest that is this mod. Speaking of which, surprised we didn't get more 1.0 Malenia, she'd fit nicely here.

Honestly the only thing I hate about this mod is that they shat on the dragon communion incantations by making it so some of them scale with a differently from each other. They removed dragon claw from the game and replaced it with the deicide incantation and I'm pretty sure the Dragon Communion seal was removed. I'm not sure why they done them so dirty :(

Seems like they need to work on balancing a good deal. Some of those gigantic slow ass spells do equal damage to two shots of the equivalent of swift glint stone.

Only thing most of the spells and skills have as an issue is I cast blindness, not to say it's not good to look at or damaging, it's just headache inducting after a while. And I love the dragon ire spell, drop that down and it's explosion tends to clear a dungeon for you.

Imo it's a bit much but still seems fun if you want a fresh take on ER made by people who clearly love excess lol

Convergence may have added a lot of broken shit but man is it a bunch of fun shit... 😂

This mod is essentially an item randomizer with some QoL changes. After playing ~30 hours of it I found very little that was different at all in terms of map or enemy changes. They let you choose talismans, they have warp points around the map, armor has stats (which actually kind of sucks because you get stuck using armor you don't like if you want the bonuses), the classes are interesting but there are very few new weapons and they are scattered to the four corners of the world anyway. In my time playing I found I think five modded weapons outside of some that the classes start with. If you really like casting, there are a LOT of new spells, though I don't know how good they are because I don't enjoy caster gameplay. There are good QoL changes, but the world being almost entirely the same made me uninterested. I found a small "windmill biome" outside of stormveil (with apparently NO item pickups anywhere in it???), and very few things like that anywhere else. Can't speak for the endgame too much but as of the city everything is very vanilla. They didn't even shuffle mobs around in 95% of the areas I went to. Some of the dungeon bosses are changed at least. Speaking of bosses, some of them have an obscene amount of health and nothing scales. The classes spawn in different locations on the map, and some spawn in areas where you will have a VERY hard time trying to kill things and not in a fun challenging way. This can quickly turn into making your way back to the vanilla beginning and working your way up north as usual, at least until you get a good amount of levels. Enemies also don't drop their equipment anymore which I don't understand the point of. If you want that brass shield the enemies will never drop it, you have to find wherever they decided to put it. They will only drop consumables/materials like arrows/stones. Auto-picking materials in the overworld is very nice. Some very solid pieces of equipment are in some random cave somewhere and you just have to stumble into it and re-learn the locations of things you want. Interested to see where this mod is in a year or two, but for now it was not enough to get me reinvested in Elden Ring after the initial burn out. To be fair, this is a FREE mod. I don't expect a miracle in alpha and they have a very active community that are working on this mod, so don't be afraid to try it for yourself as I seem to be in the minority here. P.S. DO NOT ACCIDENTALLY START THE NORMAL GAME WHILE TRYING TO PLAY THIS MOD BECAUSE IT WILL DELETE ANY ITEMS NOT IN VANILLA WHEN YOU DO. BACKUP YOUR SAVES FREQUENTLY AS THIS IS AN EASY MISTAKE TO MAKE.

I reckon when you finish the game and depending on what ending you choose it then effects new game plus. So frenzy ending ng+ would have more frenzied enemies and progressive ng+'s would then add more and more frenzy to the land. And dungeater ending could have defiled seedbed cursed red phantoms or something like that And then different worlds for all the other endings too Prob hard as fuck to do but that's the effort that should have been put into new game plus for some video game evolution rather than fromsofts same old same old NG+ - NG+7 format, it needs something more something fresh and new before it gets stale

Altho mod has interesting potention but for now it is in way too early stage to actually judge. Melee and bow classes are left out , exploration is pretty much dead since you just can follow your note and craft any talisman you want pretty much. Some location changes are cool and like 4 reskinned bosses are cool. Mod needs like 8-12 more months.

Golden displacement looks hella fun but man why is it locked to literally the last 3 fights

Thinking on it, with how prevalent it is in fantasy (especially sword n board genre) there's no possessed sword familiar/set of spells. Make it like a spirit ash of a mimic tear but make everything but the weapon invisible or make a WA that has the visual effects+hitbox just appear like 5 seconds late so it's like a prediction based skillshot.
