i've been thinking about getting warcraft 3 myself for a very long time now, but i don't know how hard it is to get into it as a new player, like can i enjoy the game online and chill while learning it or would i just get stomped in every single game? how easy would you say wc3 is to pick up?

Well you can learn a lot by playing the single player content first (the campaign, vs. AI, etc), and then watch replays as you start playing multiplayer games. That way you can improve your skills and play style before your first few games. Being stomped is inevitable in your "ranked calibration" but once it is finished, you will surely be matched with players of the same skill level as you.

First of all: if you never played it, you should definetly pick up the singleplayer campaign. It is one of the best gaming experiences of all time and the only thing Reforge actually added something to (they changed small stuff here and there, but also switched out three missions, from which two missions are probably the best in the campaign). As for the multiplayer: You can definetly still get into it. Just stick with BNet and don't go towards W3Champions immediately. There are lots of "I don't really have a clue" kind of players running around in BNet still, so it isn't like you are immediately hit with only players playing for 20 years

Hey Grubby, wouldn't have been the aura a better idea in the first game? Since without archmage or bloodmage the paladin doesn't have much mana and you can't use divine shield+holy light to their max potential. And against undead holy light is extremely strong anyway, so it will consume almost all the mana.
