A couple of weeks ago, I was invited to launch an interesting restaurant in Mysuru that offered on its menu the promise of healthy no maida, no refined salt, no refined sugar or oil, pizzas. Notwithstanding the sea of people invited to the opening of Herbs On Pizza restaurant at Hotel Golden Riviera, I enjoyed tasting their offerings and also my conversation with the family behind this thoughtful pizza enterprise.

The best part of this video was when Kripal Sir went to meet his fan who had come from Udupi that was very sweet of him as he was inaugurating the restaurant but still came out to meet him that show's how simplicity and down to earth person he is. How he is in his videos he is as simple if you would meet sir offline as well in person.

Oh wow you got a Royal welcome 👏🏼👏🏼 So sweet of Panduranga Rao who came all the way from Udipi to meet you . I was touched 🙏 Hello to Ms Vidya 👋 The preparation of the Veg Exotica looks interesting. That’s one fully loaded Pizza 🍕. Hello to Mr Mohan . Given a choice you would have preferred the Andhra meals 😀 Wow there was an interview as well and it’s truly a professional inauguration 👌👌 There’s a lot of background noise . Time to taste the first bite of the Veg Exotica . It’s good to have a healthy Pizza option especially for mad Pizza lover like me 😀 I agree the Paneer Pizza has a flop to it and I like it that way . Tonight will order a Pizza 🍕 Time for the stuffed garlic bread and looks scrumptious 😋 Next one is the thin crust Paneer Makhani Pizza 🍕 ( I also love a wheat based wood fired thin crust loaded Pizza 🍕) Loved the way they treated you with so much of love and hospitality 💯💯💯 You went in with a Baltic shirt and came out with a Blue shirt 🧐 Oh you read my mind and answered my question. And still loyal to their tamilians even if they hate tambrahms. We never get the same hate from North brahmins or telugu or kerala brahmins. Tamilians hate kannadigas ok. This is a pizza I make at home. If I were to go to a restaurant I’d really want an authentic wood fired pizza and with so much cheese, this pizza isn’t really healthy.

Everything we drink or eat is unhealthy if you sit on your a$$ and not burn the calories, Its stupid to outright term any Food items unhealthy or healthy its only the lifestyle of the person eating them, for example Glycemic Index (GI) which effects your blood sugar levels, lower the better and in Wheat it is less than Maida just that does not make Wheat healthy, so if a person eats a wheat parathas and sits 8 hours compared to a person who has a standing desk or moves around a lot and had a Maida parathas end of the day the wheat guy has more glucose level than the Maida guy. There are countries with Maida as the primary flour intake they have way better health and life index compare to India/Pak. Even water is unhealthy if you over drink it. Its all about having a balance diet with the required physical exercises as per each individuals lifestyle.

There is a lot of difference between healthy and unhealthy lifestyle. Regular exercise with unhealthy diet makes no sense. Balanced diet means the food that contains all the nutrients and should be consumed in right proportions. It's better to eat wheat items than maida for a person who works and stands for 8 hours so that he may get some nutrients. It's even more better to eat wheat items for person who sits for 8 hours because maida takes double, triple the time of wheat to digest. Something good is better than nothing.
